  I’M TOLD TO THINK ABOUT IT. About the fact that Felix Sanestarro loves me. And I love him. We both want the same thing. So what’s the problem? What’s holding us back?

  It doesn’t take long for me to be approached by Jared.

  “You heard?” I whisper.

  “No…but...I have a pretty good idea what I would have heard if I tried.” He responds. Then I start to tear up. My brother doesn’t need to react in any way but just look at me with his hazel brown eyes, an open invitation. I lean towards him, into his arms, desperate for brotherly love.

  I’m not surprised Matt isn’t home. He should be. It’s only ten but he still has two kids and a six year old waiting at home for his arrival.

  My phone is in my hands, my thoughts wavering for minutes and minutes until I have no choice.

  Is all I say. I send the message to Felix, needing to know he’ll answer. Only seconds tick by before my phone is vibrating.
