The rest of the day was pretty simple: more classes, more introductions. That's when it's easy at first. I know it will start to get challenging soon, and I have to stay focused as much as I can. I don't want to screw up the start of the semester in a bad way. Whenever I knew the answer to some question, I participated and answered and the teachers were impressed. I know there would always be some immature kids who would call me a teacher's pet because I raise my hand, but they should make an effort to if they don't want to get singled out. I was looking forward to my last class, which would be music class. It was the one class in my schedule that didn't require much thought and effort, and I was excited to play my favorite instrument, the violin.

When I entered the music class, there were various instruments scattered around, and music notes painted on the walls. As well as photos and posters of famous musicians and composers scattered among. I took a seat in the middle of the class, and left my notebook on the music stand that was used as a desk. "Well, well," the professor spoke in a booming voice, "good to see a lot of music enthusiasts in this school." Some people grumbled under their breath, and it seemed like I was the only one who actually wanted to be here. I didn't mind, as long as I could enjoy this class and improve my skill in string instruments. I was writing some small notes in my notebook when I heard someone barge in through the door, but I didn't look up since I was focused on what I was writing. "Well, I should have expected you to be late or even absent, Mr. Leith." I froze and stopped writing, but I hoped it wasn't true. My heart sank when I heard that same, silvery voice from last night speak, "Thought I might actually give my best effort this year, Mr. Birch."

I slowly looked up from the stand, and to my absolute misfortune, I laid my eyes upon the spiky-haired boy dressed in black and leather, and cursed him and the world for the anger I felt that he just had to be in the one class that I wanted some peace and serenity. "That doesn't excuse you much, Mr. Leith", Mr. Birch said with an annoyed expression on his face, "But I'll let it slide for now because it's the first day. Just go ahead and take your seat, and please don't try to cause any trouble for us or yourself." I looked back down at my notebook when he said that and tried to avoid eye contact with that Remington boy, but I didn't notice the empty seat to my left was the only vacant one left. "Fuck me", I said under my breath as he sat down.

I tried to hide my face with my hair so he wouldn't recognize me, but after a good minute, he spoke something to me. "Hey, do I know you?", he asked like an idiot. What an asshole. "No, I've never seen you before in my life", I answered softly. "Maybe you have me confused with someone else", I remarked to show I wasn't stupid. He lightly chuckled and stated, "Yeah, maybe. I mean, she was a pretty doll when I saw her. But, she just doesn't have that charm like you do." The motherfucker was trying to flirt with me, like I was easy or something. I could feel a headache coming from hating his guts so much. "Listen, asswipe." I firmly exclaimed while finally facing him, "You almost got me in trouble last night for something that wasn't my fault but yours. And after all that, you're actually trying to swoon me? You can go fuck yourself, Leith. So do me a favor and stay away from me!" A few people around us were looking when I said that, and the bastard had a blank expression at first, then smiled seductively at me.

"Mr. Leith", Mr. Birch declared when he turned away from writing on the board, "are you already causing trouble like I asked you not to?" Remington kept his eyes at me and I stared him down in disgust and hatred. Then he stood up from his desk, surprising me, and then looked at our professor. "No, Mr. Birch. I just decided maybe this isn't the class for me. Maybe next semester." Then, he walked out, and gave me a half-smile before walking out the door. I could still hear his footsteps down the hallway. I rested my elbows on my stand and rubbed my temples to try to extinguish the migraine that was killing me. "Miss Wisteria, all you alright?", my professor asked, causing me to look back up, "do you need me to report him?" I thought about it, and at first it seemed like a good idea so he'd get the message clearly. But he probably wouldn't take me seriously if he knew I went to a teacher for help. I decided to wield the sword of this battle myself. "No, thank you, Mr. Birch. I'll let you know if I need help with anything, but I appreciate the gesture. I'm sorry if I caused any disturbance."

"Oh, don't apologize, Miss Wisteria. Mr. Leith isn't exactly a good influence, so we just want to make sure our students are safe." I smiled and nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Birch. Can we continue with the lecture?" "Yes, let's do that. So, back to why music is important in our lives..." While he kept talking, I was thinking of what happened and wondered if I was overreacting. I couldn't have been. He didn't seem to understand I was appalled by what he dragged me into, and even if he did, he tried to reel me in with his phony words and perfect smile. I made the mistake once of falling for that kind of shit, and I will not let it destroy me this time. Not while I've got the chance to finally make something of myself and prove that I am not easily fooled by anybody. Especially not some troubled, egotistical little greaser.

OMG!!! 😱😱😱 We meet the Masochist once again, and Carina is anything but happy to see him again. I wonder if his impression of her will change in time. You'll have to stick around to see if that's the case. I'm literally so excited for this story and I don't know why. I just believe it'll have more potential than my previous ones. Anyway, I hope you like this chapter and will share this story with others you think will love it, too. Love you all!!! 💓💓💓
