After receiving my red leather jacket and being crowned the queen of Palaye Royale, I was able to find the confidence to dominate my final exams and end the semester well. I wore it to school to show my pride in being Rem's girlfriend, though no one could tell, but he knew and he loved it. I was just slightly disappointed when I received a C in my Economics class, but I was more relieved that I passed it and I didn't have to take it again. The classes I would miss most though were my philosophy class and my music class because I loved it when Emerson was there, and Mr. Birch was a great teacher and I loved music. They each praised me for my hard work and dedication to each class, and said they believed with everything ounce of their being I would achieve my dream of being a music producer. I smiled when they told me that, and then bid them good luck with their future classes.

The end of the semester would be closed off with a grand winter recital, and I was so excited not only to experience a live music experience, but to see my friend Nina who would be doing a solo performance for the first time. She practiced hard every at school in the music hall and at home by herself. It was cute when Emerson was around and he would just stare at her with so much love in his eyes, I couldn't imagine anyone better to love Nina as much as Emerson does. Now that I was with Remington, I was slightly relieved her crush on him was gone but I didn't tell her that because I didn't want to hurt her feelings and she told me herself she's so happy that I was the one Remington chose to love and she knew in her heart I would make him feel happy and cherished. I swear to God, sometimes I feel Like don't deserve a friend as sweet and understanding as a girl like Nina Moon.

When it was the night of the recital, it was a formal event and I put my hair up for the first time in a bun. I can't remember the last time I've ever been to something so fancy, but I can remember that whenever I did, my parents forced me to go to try to make friends with rich, snobby kids who thought I was a waste of space anyway, and I'd end up spending the event in a bathroom. But this was exciting for me because I actually get to enjoy something and support my friends. I saw Nina earlier today and she seemed nervous for her performance, but she told me she would be alright in time for her to get up there, and I trusted her and wished her good luck but by the time I got to the music hall, she was nowhere to be found 10 minutes before her performance.

I asked my friends if they've seen her and they said they hadn't seen her. I looked around behind the stage and I noticed a couple of students waiting by the girl's restroom, and I asked them if they've seen Nina Moon, and one boy said she's been in there for a long time. I walked in and searched around the restroom. "Nina?", I called out hoping she was here. "Carina?", I heard her voice say and sounding as if she was crying. I turned toward the stall where I heard her voice and I stepped closer and knocked softly. "Nina, are you in there?", I asked through the door. I heard sniffling, and she whispered, "Yeah, I'm here." I leaned close to the door and asked, "Nina? Are you alright?" I heard her choking back tears and got scared, "No, I can't do this. I can't play out there in front of all those people. I'm so scared." My heart broke, and I wished I could help her.

Then I heard someone else come in the restroom and turned to see Emerson. "Emerson!", I exclaimed in surprise, "You can't be in the girl's room!" He put a finger on his lips, and got close to where I was and started talking to Nina, "Nina, my love? Please don't be afraid. There's no one more passionate about the piano than you." She breathed heavily in the stall and I hoped she was okay, "Em, I'm just not ready to go up there by myself." He was quiet for a moment, then a small smile greeted his lips and then he asked her, "What if I played up there with you?" She was quiet for a moment, abd then we heard the stall click open and out came a tear-stained Nina with her eyes full of shock as she stared at Emerson. "You... would go up and...play with me...in front of so many people?", her voice shook as she was still surprised at his proposal, and so was I.

He stepped closer to her and gently held her face as he leaned in to kiss her lips, and she kissed back while shedding a few more tears and holding him close to her. When he pulled away, he smiled at her and answered her question, "I would give my life for you, my love." She smiled back and hugged him before hugging me too. "You're the best friend anyone could ask for, Carina", she said to me, "Thank you for making sure I was okay. It means more than you think." I smiled back and squeezed her hands while staring, "Of course, Nina, you're one of my best friends. I'll always be here to help you however I can. I believe in you and have no doubt you'll be amazing." She nodded once, and I helped clean her tears before we walked out of the restroom and luckily no one else was around anymore so no one could see Emerson walk out of the girl's restroom.

She asked the director about the change in the number of performers, and he was able to squeeze Em in. She was to go on in five minutes, and so I went back to go find my seat in the front row and was happy to see Delilah, Sebastian, and of course, Remington whom I was sitting next to. I took my seat next to him and he kissed my cheek, then he told me, "You look beautiful, ma chérie." I blushed and said, "So do you, mon chérie." He was wearing a different kind of suit from our date night and it was a bit more original with his fabric looking like patches to give it an elegant look. He quirked up a brown
and smirked at me then offered his hand for me to take on his lap, and I took it with a smile as the curtain started to draw up and I saw Nina and Emerson sit beside each other on a grand piano and start playing a gorgeous song I've never heard before. (Imagine The Boom being played here.)

When the recital was over, Nina and Emerson ran over to us and hugged all of us, both wearing the biggest smiles on their faces. "That was so beautiful, you guys!," I exclaimed to both of them as I hugged Nina, "That was the most beautiful song I've heard on the piano. What song is that?" Emerson smiled and replied, "The Boom. I wrote it." "Wow", I remarked as I raised my brows in surprise, "its lovely." Then Nina wrapped her arms around Emerson and laughter head on his chest. "I love you, my pirate", I heard her say softly, making him blush adorably. He embraced her back and whispered back, "I love you, too, my moonchild." We all cooed at their cute moment, and they blushed madly.

AWWW! Wasn't that beautiful? This was another chapter I was excited to write as well. I love how it turned out. Also, I'm finally finished with school so I have much more time to write and update more. So much more exciting issues about to come, and I'm so excited!!! Thank you again for your support! 🤗🤗🤗💕💕💕
