The next 2 weeks were pretty normal for me, I continued to do my best at my job and even improving my work performance as well, and at school I kept my grades high with the exception of Economics which seems impossible to understand if you aren't into that kind of thing. The only thing that made things different was that I was friends with a few members of the Palaye Royale Gang including their leader, Remington Leith, and he was walking around with crutches which somehow made all the girls suddenly be nice to him like he's some injured puppy. It was obviously weird because they all hate him before this, and now they're all over him. I didn't mind it much, but there were times when I felt a little upset whenever they touched his shoulder or caressed his back. I guess it was just weird seeing those girls try to interact with him like that, and he's only been so comfortable with me.

It sure didn't make Jennifer happy, though. She continued to threaten each girl who came near Rem, but she still stayed away from him from a distance. Sometimes I wish I could knock some sense into her, so she'd stop being so possessive of him even after breaking up with him. I'm pretty sure she doesn't even care about him, she just likes him because he's attractive, but that's honestly the worst reason to date someone. If you go for someone just because of their appearance, there's nothing else for you to find interesting, and I think that's selfish. I guess I'm just too much of a romantic at heart, or I've literally been hurt because I fell for appearances. Either way, I would never do that to someone I actually liked, because I wouldn't want them to do that to me. I think a small part of me wanted Remington to know that completely. Why? I've got no fucking clue.

One day while I was working, we received a new shipment of food to sell in the store. "What is it?", I asked the shipping guy as he stocked the mysterious jars I had never seen before in my life. He looked up for a second to answer my question, "This stuff is called Nutella. It's like eating a Hershey's Bar in a jar. You should try it." Then he went back to stocking it in the aisle with all the jams, peanut butter, and various spreads. After he was finished, he got a signature from Ryan, and then left in his truck and drove away. My curiosity about the Nutella jars was piqued, and I really wanted to try it. So, after work, I bought a jar or two, and proceeded to have some at home. When I got home, I figured it must be put on toast like most spreads, so I made some toast and spread the Nutella on it.

I took a bite out of the toast, and something incredible happened... The flavor was so good and it really did taste like chocolate! It was so delicious, I finished the rest of the toast, and I realized I needed to share this with others. I called up Delilah and Remington and in about half an hour they arrived to my house and they were confused at first because I said I needed to share something really important, and then I showed them the Nutella jar which made them all the more baffled. I made more toast and spread the Nutella on them, and then put on plates in front of them. I sat in anticipation to see their reaction when they taste it, and they looked at me like I was insane. Then slowly-just to torture me-they each took a bite simultaneously, and while Del's reaction to the flavor was pretty much the same as mine, Rem's almost scared me.

After swallowing his toast, he just stared at it with wide eyes and was quiet for like a minute. It honestly freaked me out, and I was afraid it might have done something to him. Then he looked at me and murmured, "Do you have a spoon, Carina?" I nodded once and then handed him one, and then he opened the Nutella jar that was already on the table they were sitting at and started scooping out some of it and eating it just like that. He let out a small moan in satisfaction while eating it and declared, "THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD!!!" Me and Delilah looked at each other, and we just burst out with laughter. Remington just ate out of the Nutella jar like it was nothing, and every spoonful sent him to heaven. I just sat there in silence for a while just looking at him enjoying it, his adorable face lighting up with his big, brown eyes full of happiness and that gorgeous smile that somehow made my heart melt.

I heard Del cough under her breath, and she pointed at Rem with her eyes while raising her eyebrows up and down mischievously. I suddenly got embarrassed and sat up from my seat, alarming both Del and Rem. I tried my hardest to put a straight face and then told Remington, "Um, Remington, you can keep that jar if you want. There's more sold at the store." He smiled with gratitude in his eyes and then just said, "You're literally an angel, Carina." I immediately left the kitchen with the excuse that I had to use the bathroom, and then I went in one and shut the door. The rising heat in my cheeks came up again and I wasn't sure how much longer it would last than the last time this happened to me. Why is it I feel like this every time Remington calls me an angel? How does that get me? I waited another minute or two before going back into the kitchen where Delilah and Remington were now both eating out of the Nutella jar in spoonfuls and it just made me smile brighter than a fire.

HEEEYY! Ever since I learned Nutella was actually introduced back in 1965, I just knew I had to add it into this story. It turned out to be so cute and funny!!! 😂😂😂 What did you think of this chapter? I hope you liked it, and will stick around to see more wholesome moments like this one. I love you all so much!!! 😘😘😘
