Delilah announced that she would be renting a VW bus so we can all fit inside and it will help carry our luggage easier. She said she wanted to leave early so we should take Saturday to pack our stuff and then get in the bus altogether by noon that day, and then we'd drive for about a day which was how long it would take to get from Querencia to California. Me and Rem told Zion and Austin before I left for work on Friday and then Nina said she told Luis who was in one of her classes. Remington and Emerson said they told Sebastian a day after Del's announcement, but when they did, he seemed like he was happy yet something was holding him back from being overjoyed. Nevertheless, he said he was looking forward to the vacation. I gave the spare key to my apartment to one of my classmates who Fern really loves so they would be able to watch her comfortably while I'm gone for the week.

I notified Ryan that I would be going on vacation for a week and he said to enjoy my time and he would be looking forward to seeing me at work again. I went to bed early on Friday night so I would be able to wake up early on Saturday to pack everything I needed. Before all that I showered and ate breakfast and even cleaned up my place a little to give myself a sense of peace when I leave. I packed the clothes I wanted to bring, hairbrush, toothbrush, shoes, as much clean underwear as I could, my record player while also bringing a few of my secret records, books, and of course, my red leather jacket. It took me about an hour and a half to have everything packed in two suitcases, and then I called Delilah to tell her I was ready. She said she would be picking me up after Nina, Austin, and Luis in about fifteen minutes. The brothers and Z would be waiting at the boys' home. The excitement was starting to fill my veins as I walked out of my apartment with my luggage after my classmate arrived and said goodbye to them before exiting the building.

I waited outside for about five minutes before I spotted the bus which was decorated with music notes on it and was the color of the ocean. Delilah waved hi as she pulled over to where I was and then I stepped on with a big smile on my face, and Nina and Luis were there too with the same level of excitement present on their faces. Austin looked so funny wearing three sets on sunglasses on his face. I put my luggage under the seat I took and then sat close to the window on the left side of the bus. Del made her way toward the boys' home and I smiled as I couldn't wait to see my love and then finally make our way to California. When we got there, it seemed like out of all of us, the brothers and Zion carried the most luggage. They each came on and took a seat, Emerson sitting next to Nina on the other side of the bus. I watched as Remington stepped on and when he spotted me, he smirked as he walked to where I was sitting.

"Hey pretty lady", he said when he got to me, I giggled and blushed in response and then I responded with, "Hey, handsome sir." He glanced at my empty seat and asked, "Is this seat taken?", I grinned as I teased, "Well, I was saving it for my gorgeous boyfriend, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you just sat for a minute." He arched a brow and the smirk stayed on his mouth as he took a seat next to me and then started pulling me closer. "Tell me more about this gorgeous boyfriend", he teased as he wrapped his arm around my waist and held me close to him. I blushed harder as I remarked, "Oh, he's only the sweetest, strongest, most selfless, and beautiful boy I've ever met and I love him with every ounce of my heart and soul." He then proceeded to place his hand on my cheek and pull me in for a slow, passionate kiss and then I held his face in my hands as I pulled him closer.

When we pulled away, we had silly grins on our faces and laughed a little in each other's close embrace. Then Del started shouting something, "Everyone here has gone to the bathroom, right?" We all nodded expected for Zion who decided to exit the bus and rush outside to go one last time inside the house. "I'm just asking because I'm not sure how many gas stations we'll encounter on the way and truck stops as well", Del explained as we waited for Z to come back out, "Also, try not to eat or drink too much to avoid any inconveniences." When Zion finally came back, Delilah finally started moving the bus and I looked out the window as well drive out of the city and drove through unknown roads.

I never traveled outside of my hometown when I was younger and so I felt like I was trapped most days since I never knew about anything but where I lived. I always had dreams to see other places in the world when I was old enough, but my parents were scared of exposing me to unknown places. I started to believe I would never be able to see other places under my parents' control. Now I'm able to visit one of the most beautiful places in the nation and I get to see a beach as well. I was still a little scared about that, but a huge part of me didn't want to miss out on the fun I would have with my friends. We took turns driving when Del started to get sleepy, and I took a turn while looking at the map across the dash that had the route highlighted in red marker. I was lucky to see the sun rise and watch as the sky turn from black to blue. I then rested as Emerson took a turn driving and slept with my head on Rem's shoulder and he slept with his head on mine.
