Carina's POV

I woke up early the next morning on Saturday to double-check I had everything I needed in my luggage and I wouldn't leave anything behind. I showered one last time before we were about to leave the hotel. So many great memories for all of us here. I had always wanted to visit California for other reasons, but I didn't realize what I would be going through when I finally did. It was even more special than how I imagined it because I had my friends with me and a beautiful boyfriend who loves me more than I can fathom. The Kropp brothers did tell me about how they have a record label representative approach them and offer them a chance to show themselves to the label and maybe get signed. I was excited for them, but Remington seemed to be unsure whether he should take the deal or not. He said he wanted time to think about it before they jumped in without knowing what they're going for.

When I was just about done, Del came to my door and said we should all meet in the lobby in about half an hour so we can check out and get back to the bus. I may or may not have stolen a few hotel essentials just because they were so nice. I guess Remington's thieving habits may have rubbed off of me just a little. When me, Nina and Luis were finished, we walked out of our hotel room and we saw everyone else there. As soon as Delilah saw us, she asked us all, "We all ready to check out? Got everything you need?", and we all nodded in perfect sync. She nodded once to confirm and she asked us for our keys which we placed in her hand after. She walked up to the front desk and faced the same guy who checked us in, "Good morning", he said, "Checking out?" She nodded and handed him back the keys as he wrote something down on a piece of paper. "Thank you so much for staying at Calypso, Miss Soleil. We hope to see you again soon." He shook her hand and then she motioned for us to head to the elevator and make our way to the parking lot.

While we were walking there, I noticed Sebastian looking a little depressed and I was concerned as I asked him, "Seb, are you okay?" He turned to me but only for a second before averting his gaze again and replying with, "I'm fine, Carina. Just a bit of the excitement draining out, that's all. I do wish we stayed longer though." I placed my hand on his shoulder and said to him with a kind smile, "Me too, Seb. I had a lot of fun. Especially with all of you." He returned my smile and then we started climbing on the bus. I sat near the window again and then a few seconds later, Remington sat next to me and planted a small kiss on my head. "Did you have fun?", he asked and I looked up at him while holding his hand and responded with, "More fun than I've ever had in my life." He grinned at me and I kissed him softly as he held me close to him. We started moving and exited out of the hotel.

As we rode through the long roads and passed wildlife and civilization combined, I looked back to see Andrew who had asked to come with us to contribute to Palaye Royale and I was surprised how much he wanted to be a part of them. I really liked him ever since I saw him perform during the rock concert at the beach and liked how he got along so well with Sebastian and his brothers after they met. I really hoped the rock n' roll-hating environment of Querencia wouldn't scare him away. I then looked over to Sebastian who was still looking low and I got worried about what was making him feel so bummed. Rem must have noticed my look of concern because he turned to me and asked, "Ma chérie, what's the matter?", I looked at Seb and then back to Rem and told him, "I'm just wondering why your brother looks so depressed. Like what might have happened before we left the hotel?"

He looked back to Seb and raised his eyebrows as a way to show he understands what I'm talking about. "We could try asking him", he suggested and then I nodded in confirmation. We both got up from our seats and walked down and sat to a seat in front of where Seb was sitting. "Sebastian", I asked calmly as to not disturb or alarm him in a bad way, "Are you alright? Do you want to talk about anything?" He sat in silence looking out the window as if he didn't hear us. Then Rem spoke up, "Is this about that bartender?", and that caused Seb to look at us. "Do you miss her, Seb?", I inquired further, "Do you miss Allegra?" He shook his head slowly and finally spoke, "I don't just miss her. I love her." My face had a look of shock as he declared his affection for the sweet bartender just like that in front of us. But he wasn't finished, "I love her even though she has a boyfriend and I couldn't bring myself to break her heart and tell her he's being unfaithful to her and she deserves better. She might never realize it but I just had to let her know I was in love with her."

Me and Remington were speechless after Sebastian's big speech about his true and deep love for Allegra and I almost felt bad for prying into his personal business. "But I know for a fact", he concluded, "she loved me back." He glanced between me and Rem and smiled at each of us and told us, "You guys really are perfect for each other. I can tell you'll love each other for a long time from now." We both blushed furiously when he said that. "Remington", he warned his younger brother in a threatening tone, "If you ever break this sweet and selfless girl's heart, I'll make sure you suffer for the rest of your life." Rem looked a little scared when he said that, and I tried hard not to laugh as Seb put on an innocent face before facing the window again. Remington looked back at me and seemed intimidated by me as we walked back to our seat and he looked at me like I was the most valuable thing in his life and he was afraid to lose me. As much as it amused me, it also made me feel flattered that he loved me enough to be scared to lose me.

HI AGAIN!!! So, it seems that I have more time to write chapters when I'm off from work since my schedule is hectic at work and even at home. I'm so excited for where this story is going to go next and I hope you are all prepared for what I have in store. I really love how this story has turned out so far and I am so grateful for all of you who have supported me since I first published this in April. 😍😍😍
