Judgement Call

Keith was in full armor. Sword in its case with his hand on the handle just in case. He passed by a hall and stopped. He looked down it to see that woman. She was still carrying towels. She seemed to be in a hurry. Keith knew protocall was if their is a robeast all civilians are to remain in doors. She was going in and out of rooms. Pidge came from behind him.

"Keith! We need to get to the lions." Pidge said. At the moment they only had four because Shiro went to another Kingdom called Balmera with the Black Lion. That meant Keith was in charge and they had to play this smart.

He followed Pidge to the part of the castle that held the lions. Griffin and Veronica were there waiting for Keith and Pidge.

"Usually you get training but looks like you'll learn on the job." Keith said to Griffin.

"Just stay with them till the all clear." Pidge said before getting in her lion.

"That's it?" Griffin asked. Keith stopped at his lions mouth and turned towards him.

"Keep your eyes on them. Move them to the Great Hall. Coran should be there." Keith said before taking off in Red. All four lion flew side by side as it approached the robeast.

The robeast was purple and gray infused metal with glowing megenta lights for eyes. It had one eye as the other appeared wired machinary. It had a claw arm with a magenta orb attached at the end. The orb seemed to be its weapon of chose. The monster would throw it as it would smash and knock over cottages in its path. People ducked and ran to cover.

"What do we do Keith?" Lance asked the knight who in Shiro's absence is the leader.

"Distract it and keep it away from the village." Keith said realizing he is actually incharge. It had been 2 weeks since Shiro was on a mission at the Balmera Kingdom. There was no reports of a robeast for almost a month. Keith was hoping there wouldn't be a robeast till Shiro reterned.

"Then what?" Hunk asked as the robeast followed them "we can't form Voltron how are we going to stop it?" Keith sat in the red lion trying to figure it out. True they couldn't form voltron and the have to get rid of the robeast.

With Allura and Romelle in the castle Griffion and Veronica watched the Princesses. They looked out the window seeing the lions had run into a problem.

"Are they alright?" Romelle asked as the robeast picked up the green lion and threw it across the sky. They watched as the Red and Blue lion shot fire and ice at the robeast.

"They are Voltron. They got this." Griffin said.

"But without the Black lion they can't form Voltron." Romelle said.

"They just have to play it smart." Allura said. They headed to their chambers unaware tbey had a strangler.

"Keith, we need to keep clear of that orb. With every hit it extracts and lowers the lions energy levels." Pidge said.

"How do we do that!" Lance asked.

"That orb thing has to charge up after 3 shots then there's a 10 second window. But we need Voltron."

"I heard you the first 10 times." Keith said. Bracing as the robeast hit him with the orb.

"Then what do we do? What do we do? Keith, what do we do?" Hunk asked panicking. Keith had Red Lion got up. Keith knew they needed the black lion but it was far off in the universe. Keith still couldn't help but remember that person who wondering in the castle.  Something inside him was telling him to go back.
"Lance, Hunk get Pidge and open shot at its arm. Pidge when you get the chance use your cannon." Keith said as the Red Lion turned towards the castle.
