Jackie is pacing back and forth fuming on the royal jet as it headed to Boston. She can't believe her mother would do this to her. What makes it even worse is she was there comforting her when she knew she was the reason for Jack's departure.
"Jacks sit down, besides we'll be landing soon," Lee says looking up at her sister.
"I'm so angry Lee, I can't believe she did this to me. I don't know if I could ever forgive her," Jackie says finally sitting down.
"I know Jacks, I know. For right now just focused on you and Jack getting back together."
"I hope it isn't too late," Jackie says.
"It's not Jackie. Just relax."
Taking her sister's advice Jackie reclines back a little and closes her eyes. She tries to think about what she could say to Jack to undo the damage her mother has done.
Over the loudspeaker, "ladies and gentlemen please take your seats as we prepare for landing," the pilot instructs.
Everyone takes their seats and prepares for landing. Jackie feels her heartbeat increasing as the moment she will see Jack again is getting closer and closer. Looking out the window it's already nighttime. Hopefully, Jack hasn't already gone to bed, even though it's just a little past ten. Most importantly hopefully he is home.
After arriving at the airport Jackie's private car takes her to Jack's condominium. The driver informed her of the short ride and Jackie feels her nervousness get the best of her.
"What if he doesn't believe me, Lee? What if he has already found someone else?" Jackie's insecurities begin to get the best of her.
"Jackie, Jack has only been gone for three days, I highly doubt he has moved on that fast. Also, why do you think I came with you? I'm here to help you."
Jackie relaxes a little even though she doesn't feel much better.
Next thing they knew they were outside the building. The door swings open revealing the resident entrance to Jack's building. Putting on her sunglasses to help hide her identity she and Lee exit the limo. Jackie opens her phone and goes to her and Jack's text thread.
"What are you looking for?" Lee asks looking at her sister.
"Jack's access code," Jackie replies.
"I meant to ask you how did you know his address?"
Jackie finds the code and punches it in quickly hearing the buzzing noise indicating she now has access. She and Lee enter the building and enter the elevator to take them up to the twenty-fifth floor. While the elevator begins to ascend Jackie answers her sister's question.
"Let's say a few months ago I met Jack here and we had a romantic interlude."
"Oh, I should've known better," Lee replies shaking her head.
The elevator comes to a stop and dings informing its passengers it has reached its destination. The ride was rather quick since nobody else requested the car. The doors slide open and Jackie takes a deep breath.
"Just relax Jacks, everything will be ok," Lee assured her sister as they walk down the hallway.
They arrive outside of condo number twenty-five 0 six. Jackie takes a deep breath and knocks on the door.
Jack turns over and looks at the clock on the nightstand that reads ten minutes to eleven. He thought someone was knocking on his door. Listening for another minute, nothing. Feeling like he is hearing things and he turns over to go back to sleep.
"I don't think he is here Lee," Jackie says when she doesn't hear any movement on the other side of the door.
"Jackie with that little knock he wouldn't be able to hear you," Lee says before knocking on the door aggressively.
Jack jumps up, he wonders who in the world could be knocking on his door at this time of the night. His siblings left hours ago. For the way, this person is knocking the building better be on fire.
"Lee stop it before you wake the whole floor up!" Jackie commands. Before Lee could respond Jack's front door swings open.
Jackie freezes and Jack freezes. Jackie looks at him through her glasses up and down. He isn't wearing anything but his Harvard shorts. Meanwhile, Jack can't believe who is standing in front of his door.
"Jackie!? What are you doing here? Hello Lee."
"Jack I'm here to talk to you. I need to talk to you!" Jackie says almost pleading.
"Hi Jack, Lee waves nervously.
Jack steps aside to allow the sisters inside.
After he closed the door he informs them he will be right back. Jack goes to his room to put on a shirt and some sweatpants.
When he returns to the living room he sits down on the single chair.
"Jack the reason I'm here," Jackie says taking her glasses off, "is because my mother lied to you. I talked to the head of Parliament who told me there are no laws that would prevent us from getting married. Most importantly my country wouldn't turn against me. I love you so much, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. These last few days without you have been miserable."
"I missed you too Jackie, it's been hard on me too. I didn't want to leave, but I didn't want your subjects to turn against you. Plus your mother threatened to ruin me if I had stayed."
"Please our mother doesn't have any real power, Jack. Our mother is a married royal, not by birth like Jackie, John, and I. She may have some over those silly noblemen's wives but not enough to ruin you. Besides I heard her say she only said it to get you to leave," Lee says.
"So you see Jack, we can be together. What makes it even better is the head of Parliament is giving his support. Jack, come back with me, please?" Jackie says looking into his eyes.
He thinks about it and then asks, "what about your mother kid?"
"I'll deal with her later. At this rate, she'll be lucky if she is invited to the wedding," Jackie says rolling her eyes.
Jack gets up and walks over to Jackie. He reaches down and pulls her into his arms and kisses her with so much passion. When they break free for some air, Jack looks into her eyes, "I love you, Jacqueline Bouvier."
"I love you too John Kennedy," Jackie replies before kissing him back.
