Wally's Motel, Derry, Maine
Sunday May 12th 1999
2:34 pm

Eddie and Richie were in the Motel room, packing their bags.

"Richie, does this mean we're... dating now?" Eddie asked, folding his hoodie he wore to the Motel.

"If you want to date, then, sure."

"I do." Eddie mumbled.

"I do too." Richie smiled. "So, there we have it, ladies and gentlemen, Richie Wheeler and Eddie Kaspbrak are boyfriends." Richie spoke in a New York paper boy type voice, making Eddie smile.

"I don't want anyone to know yet." Eddie whispered.

"Then the secrets safe with me."

Steve soon entered the room, he just went downstairs to complain about the hot water.

"Are you sure you don't want me to drive you home, Eddie?" Steve asked.

"No, thanks. I'm fine."

"Wait, I need to take him somewhere." Richie yelled.

"Richie, we have to go."

"I'll walk him to his house."

"Fine." Steve rolled his eyes. "Hurry, though."

Richie grabbed Eddie and Eddie's bag and ran out of the room.

They were now walking down Main Street, Richie keeping his eyes open for the specific store.

"Richie, where are we going?"

"If we want to keep in touch, you'll need a new phone."

"Rich, you're not buying me a new phone."

"Eddie, the phone is the only way we can talk when we're not with each other. I can't loose you as a friend, especially now that we're dating." He winked.

"But, a phone is expensive."

"Eddie, my love, I have money."

They entered the general store, going over to an area where phones were sold.

"Richie, I have no where to put that. My mom would find it."

"Well, we could get the ones that don't hook into your wall, and then just hide it under your bed."

"Okay..."

"Trust me Eddie, nothing bad will happen."

"Sure."

"What's your favourite colour?"

"Yellow."

"Here." Richie grabbed a white box that had a photo of a smiling female and a yellow phone. "Yellow and moveable."

"Thanks, Rich." Eddie smiled, grabbing the box.

Richie and Eddie stood in front of Eddie's house, Sonia was out at the moment, apparently every Sunday she's out and about.

"Promise to call me if she hurts you again." Richie said.

"You can't come driving down here every time she's being a bitch."

"I know, but, I just want to know you're safe."

"I'll tell you."

The two walked inside, not caring about how mad Steve was probably getting from Richie not coming back.

Richie helped Eddie hook up his phone, giving Richie Eddie's new number.

Richie gave Eddie a very quick kiss, before waving goodbye and running down the street towards the motel.
