7:45 pmLucas laid on his bed, trying to fall asleep. Sure it was the weekend, but Jane, Max, and Mike left last night, so he was alone and bored. Soon his roommate, Ivy walked in.
"Hey, Luc. I'm going to a party tonight with a few people, wanna come? We need a good relationship here, so you're coming."
Lucas just nodded as he heard his news, as Ivy motioned him along.
"The party's now?"
"Duh." She rolled her eyes. "It's at the senior building, it's a while walk, so my girlfriend, Sofia will be driving us. C'mon."
Lucas was a bit baffled, but obligated anyhow, he followed Ivy out the room to a room a few doors down. They entered without knocking, seeing two girls.
"This is Sofia," she pointed to one of the girls. "And this is Mari. This is Lucas." They waved to each other awkwardly. "K, lets go." Ivy spoke, leading the group out the door and soon to a dirty white car in the parking lot.
"Issac and Tom will meet us there." Mari spoke, climbing into the seat beside Lucas in the back.
They drove a few blocks to a house that was packed, Lucas didn't understand why they couldn't just walk since the place was in close distance. But, he got out of the car and followed the girls who've been chit chatting with each other and leaving him out.
Once in the home, Mari ran off to find the two boys that were mentioned in the car, Sofia and Ivy talked while Lucas took in the sight of his first college party. It was an experience, he couldn't say if it would be a good one or not, but he wondered away anyhow to find things to do, people to meet... or people to see again.
Lucas stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the small boy he met years ago with a buff dude and his chick. Luckily the crowd covered Lucas from view, but his mouth was still agape. Eddie Kaspbrak stood a couple feet away from him. He can't remember the last time his name was mentioned, or the last time he saw the brunette.
A hand grabbed his shoulder, spinning him around out of his mind set and he was met with Ivy.
"Trying to ditch us?" She smiled.
"N-no, I was just... taking in the view."
"View?" She laughed. "Of the sweaty horny bodies? That's a a scene alright. Anyway, come on, we're playing beer pong."
Lucas wasn't much of a drinking person, he tried it once at Mike and Richie's sixteenth birthday, where Richie illegally brought alcohol and gave it to the group once the rest of the part left. He remembered the disgusting taste it left, and how he never drank that again, instead he watched over the rest with Will, who didn't have a single sip.
He wouldn't be drinking, even if he was thrown into the game, he would chicken out this time in front of his only friends at the school.
Luckily, after telling Ivy how uncool he was with drinking, she let him sit on the guidelines where he was soon getting cups thrown at him by a drunken Ivy.
They had been playing for two rounds, and Ivy couldn't walk straight. Sofia took her home, leaving just Lucas and Mari. Mari, though, was high off drugs, and was spilling her heart out to the boy.
"I told him how I felt, and you wanna know what that bastard said?!" She yelled, tears streaming down her face, staining her cheeks with mascara.
"Hm?"
"I don't deserve happiness! I do too, and he'll see, he'll see, I'll get a man who will love me so much... then, then I'll invite him to my wedding, the birth of my children, and he'll be in the room to see them come right out of me!" Lucas grimaced. "And then he'll see who deserves happiness. Such a bitch." She rolled her eyes crossing her arms. "Oh my gosh! There's Tasha, come with me!"
She grabbed Lucas' wrist, pulling him off the stairs they sat, and over to the girl who stood beside that buff dude that was with Eddie earlier.
"Tasha!" Mari yelled, hugging her tightly.
"Mari, what happened?" She wiped her cheeks, the mascara smudging. "Did you do this?" She asked, looking at Lucas.
"No!"
"No, it was Jordyn." She scoffed. "Such a bitch."
"Babe, they're out of Jack Daniels." The buff boy returned, with Eddie by his side, holding a cup of water. He so far, hasn't noticed Lucas.
"No, I'm fine."
"Hey, Mari." Mari sent a wave.
"Oh, uh, this is Lucas, he's Ivy's roommate."
"Sup." Skylar nodded. Eddie then pecked his head around Skylar's arm, making eye contact with Lucas. He smiled, and waved.
"Lucas, I didn't know you came here." Eddie smiled.
"Oh, uh, well, I don't usually come to this house."
"Wow." Eddie laughed, rolling his eyes.
"You know each other?" Mari asked.
"Duh." The buff boy rolled his eyes, replying.
"He's my ex's friend." Eddie smiled, sipping from his drink.
"Actually, Skylar, can you see if they have any soda over there?" Tasha asked, the buff boy-Skylar- nodded, walking off.
"See ya later, Lucas." Eddie said, following Skylar away to the drinks.

Mari and Lucas were now walking back to campus. Ivy was their ride home, and Sofia took the car to take her back. But Lucas didn't mind, the home was so hot and the cool air felt nice against his skin. Mari was almost back to normal and was talking to Lucas a lot. Lucas found out her real name isn't even Mari, which makes sense.
"So, do you know Eddie?" Lucas asked.
"Nope. But, I know the people he hangs out with." She replied.
"So, do you think he goes to school at Pace?"
"Probably. I mean, he doesn't look like he's from here."
"He's not. Does he room with Tasha?"
"No. No, Lena rooms with Tasha. He could room with anyone really." She looked down at the sidewalk, watching her feet hit the pavement. "Why do you want to know?"
"I haven't talked to him in a while. After, him and my friend broke up, we never heard from him and his friends again. And I feel like if Richie, his ex, knew he was here, they could talk again."
