7:08 pmRichie sat in his room with Max and Jane, he had just bought a new Game Boy system, it may be three years old, but Richie really wanted one. After the break up, Richie has been hiding in his room, reading, crying, eating, sleeping, and bathing. In one of his newer comics was a ad for the Game Boy, Richie got out of bed and counted his allowance money, seeing he didn't have enough.
He hadn't left his room in a few weeks, only for the importance of food. Mike was the only one who knew what had been bothering Richie, so he didn't question like Karen and Ted did. So his only option was to go to Mike. He entered the hallway, forgetting the familiar area. He knocked twice on Mike's door, then let himself in.
"Richie!" Mike yelled, jumping in his seat.
"You told me to knock."
"And then wait for me to go to the door, dumbass." Mike stood up. "What's wrong? Are you feeling better? Do you need to talk? Have you spoken to Eddie?"
Richie sighed. And I thought mom would have all the motherly questions. "Nothings wrong. I was wondering if you happen to have any spare change? Or bills?"
"What? How much?"
"Well... like a couple twenties..?"
"No. I only have one twenty. How much money do you think mom pays me?" He laughed, sitting back down. "What's it for anyways?"
"I want to buy a Game Boy. I only have thirty three bucks!"
"How much is the system?"
"Like, $90."
Mike laughed again. "Go ask mom."
"I can't ask mom!" Richie rolled his eyes, throwing himself onto Mike's bed. "Can you ask her?"
Mike spun around, looking at Richie. "I guess I can. But you know you'll have to tell her at some point."
"Well, I just don't want to right now." He rolled over, looking at Mike. "I have my whole life."
Mike furrowed his eyes brows. "Or, you can just walk down there, ask for some money, and hope she won't ask anything."

After that Mike went down and got a few bucks for Richie which he then spent on the Game Boy. Now, him, Max, and Jane were playing Super Mario Land, currently Jane and Richie were versing each other since Max lost.
"Jane! No- why would you go that way?! Hit that block! You missed it, you can't go back! That would've gave you Yoshi!" Max sighed, throwing her hands over her face. Jane let out a laugh.
"I'm sorry!"
"Jump! Jane-"
"Yes! I'm victorious again! How does that feel lady's?" Richie smiled, leaning back after watching Lugi fall into the void below and Mario get to the end.
"Jane, you're so bad at this game. No offence. But, you just let him win."
"I got farther than you!" She yelled.
"Did not."
"Did to."
"Did not."
"Did to!"
"Did not!"
"Did to!"
"Stop!" Richie laughed. "She totally got farther than you Max."
"No!" Max grabbed Richie's controller. "I want to verse Jane, whoever wins is clearly better at this game!"
"Your on!" The game then began, they were on the next level, harder than the last. Max was pretty good at the game though, she knew exactly what block would give her a Yoshi, she knew exactly where to go and what block gives you what. Whereas Jane was still learning basic controls.
