"Guys, can we please go to the pool?!" Beverly begged.

The day was beating hot, so hot that the air conditioning shut off because it was being over powered. The teens sat in the Wheelers basement, dressed in clothing that barely covered anything, while a tiny metal fan blew around to try and stop their sweat.

"The Pool is gonna be so crowded." Lucas sighed. "They'll be no room for us."

"Plus, it's like two dollars per person. And there's a million of us!" Richie exclaimed, before resting his head on Eddie's shoulder and wrapping both arms around him.

"There's only thirteen of us..." Eddie says, pushing Richie's hair back.

"I can't handle this." Richie sits up, unbuttoning his blue button up, then laying back down on Eddie.

While the others fight about going to the pool or not, Eddie slips his hand under the unbuttoned shirt and rubs Richie's side with his thumb.

"Twenty six dollars isn't that much!" Max yells, "Stop being a baby!"

"We'll each be paying for ourselves!" Stanley included.

"It's too hot in here, we can't sit here!" Beverly sighed, wiping sweat off her forehead.

"It'll be too crowded! If one of us were to go under water and someone swam above us with their group of friends, and you can't get around in time, you'd drown, and no one will know because theirs too much people!" Lucas said, worried.

"Why would that happen?" Dustin asked, rolling his eyes.

"I'm dying!" Richie yelled, taking off his shirt completely.

"Can you open a window?" Will asked.

"All the windows are open." Mike (W) responded.

"This stupid fan is doing nothing!" Stanley yelled, standing up and pushing the fan.

The fan was an old one, so doing that made it fall to the ground with a hard thud and making the propellors slow to a stop.

"Stan!" Beverly yelled.

"Fuck, Stanley!" Richie screamed.

"It wasn't doing anything anyway!" He called.

"Guys, please stop yelling." Jane quietly said. "The heat is making you all mad at each other. We should go to the pool and cool off. No matter how many people or the cost."

"If you guys don't go, I'll go by myself." Richie mumbled, face stuffed into Eddie's neck.

The group payed and entered the pool, finding a spot to put their things and to relax if they wanted. And just like Lucas had thought, the pool was full, not by too much, there was still room to swim, but it was pretty crowded.

"Fuck, yeah!" Richie called, feeling the cool water on his hot skin.

"Richie, come back!" Eddie called from the lawn chairs.

"What? Why?!" He complained.

"It's too hot out here, you need sun screen."

Richie groaned, climbing out of the pool. He walked up to Eddie, with a moody face.

"Don't give me that look, so you want to burn? The sun is beating!" Eddie put some sunscreen in his hand, and began to apply it on Richie's arm.

"Hurry, I want to swim!"
