"I beg your pardon, but did you just say I'm in charge of Kara?", Loki asked Fury as they both exited the room. Kara was still processing what the one-eyed man had told her.

"You have ears, don't you, Loki?"

"Director, is it really safe for her to stay here? Will all that she's done?", Natasha said, following them.

"Oh, so we're judging people on past mistakes now, are we Agent Romanoff?", Fury answered nonchalantly, effectively making Nat shut up.

Using his thumbprint, he was granted access to one of SHIELD's weapon storage rooms.

"With her powers, she could outwit us any moment! You heard what happened back in Tennessee!", Sam whined, also following Fury's trail.

"Plus, sir, we don't actually have a cell we can keep her in," Vision reasoned out. Fury ignored their protests as he seemed busy searching for something.

"No extra rooms last time I checked," Tony butted in, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Just because you funded a lot of things in here doesn't mean you have the final say, Stark," Fury finally stated, holding two bangles in the air for everyone to see.

"What is that going to do to her?", Loki asked, a little bit of concern in his voice which only Thor could identify.

"This...", he trailed off. "... is going to suppress her powers while she is on-premises. That way, she won't get to turn invisible or shapeshift her way out of this facility."

Fury then approached Loki, handing him the bangles.

"The only time these two come off is when you...", he said, tapping Loki's chest, "... or any of you train her. Understood?" Everyone nodded.

Loki twirled his fingers around and suddenly made the bangles disappear.

"I am aware that all the quarters have been occupied. Yes, we do not have a cell to contain her, too. So...", he trailed off, spinning around to give them all a good long look. The others watched him questioningly.

"She'll have to bunk with one of you," Fury added.

The rest of the team was wide-eyed. Tony quickly put on his rose-tinted glasses, Steve exchanged looks with Sam, Natasha scratched the back of her neck, Clint coughed awkwardly, Vision stepped back with Wanda, and Rhodey took a sudden interest in his shoes.

Fury rolled his good eye, his gaze now landing on the two Asgardian brothers. Thor was avoiding Fury's stare, but Loki stared him down, noticeably unfazed.

"Perfect", Fury thought.

"I suppose since you are in charge of her, Kara gets to bunk in with you, Laufeyson," the director stated, making everyone else breathe out a sigh of relief they didn't realize they were holding. The raven-haired god rolled his eyes at their childishness.

"Splendid! You and Lady Kara shall have plenty of space, given your king-sized bed-", Thor was cut off by a hand smacked harshly over his lips.

"King-sized what now?", Fury inquired, eyeing them. Loki laughed nervously.

"My brother has the uncontrolled urge to overstate things," the God of Mischief replied with a smile, giving Thor the dirty eye in the process.

Not buying it but deciding not to push it, Fury shook his head. "Alright, then. Loki, fetch her and help her settle in. The rest... well, go and do something productive," Fury ordered. Loki sighed as he went to the interrogation room for Kara. Thor followed his brother while the others went on to do whatever they needed to do.

"Ah, you and Lady Kara, alone in your room. Imagine the possibilities-", Thor was cut off yet again by a punch on the arm.

"Shut up, you oaf. I would consider myself fortunate if she doesn't strangle me in my sleep," the younger brother answered. Thor laughed heartily.

"She wouldn't do that. Not with what you have shared in the past, right?", the God of Thunder teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

They finally reached the interrogation room to find Kara struggling to break free from her cuffs. Loki insisted that Thor wait outside.

"Aw, missed me already?" Kara remarked sassily upon noticing him enter the room. Loki smirked.

"I somehow keep finding myself coming back to you, love.", he replied, and he could've sworn he saw her cheeks turn the slightest shade of red. She definitely wasn't expecting that.

"Shut up," she retorted. Loki knew she only said that when she didn't have a comeback, or when she was feeling flustered.

He pulled out the bangles from out of nowhere and Kara tensed up.

"What is that?", she asked warily. The god before her chuckled, and with a wave of his hand, the cuffs that once bonded her were replaced with Fury's bangles. Kara was almost impressed.

Almost.

"I asked what these are for," she persisted through gritted teeth, standing up while holding her arms in front of her.

"Those, my darling, are to ensure you wouldn't use your powers against us," Loki responded, grabbing her arm and pulling her with him.

Kara tried to shapeshift, but she failed. Tried to turn invisible, but failed again.

'Shit', she thought. She really wasn't going anywhere, was she?

"Where are you taking me?", Kara asked once Loki escorted her out of the room. Her eyes landed on Thor who was already grinning at them.

"To my quarters," Loki replied coolly. Kara turned her attention back to the raven-haired god. The God of Thunder was now following them.

"What?! No! I demand a separate room!", she exclaimed in utter disgust and squirmed out of his grasp. In terms of physical strength, sadly, Kara was no match for the Asgardian god.

"My apologies, but...", he spoke, leaning down until his face was centimeters from Kara's ear. Her breath hitched in her throat at their proximity, and Thor's eyes slowly enlarged at the scene unfolding in front of him.

"... I'm the one in charge here."
