16. 》Son of a Beach《

After a few seconds of walking, Loki found Kara in the kitchen area, rummaging the shelves. She was too caught up in her business that she didn't notice Loki sneak up from behind her and snake his arms around her waist.

Kara stiffened at his touch.

"What are you looking for, darling?", he purred in her ear, giving her shoulder a small kiss, which caused Kara's eyes to widen.

"Get your hands off me!", she yelled, elbowing him in the stomach. But the God of Mischief was unfazed.

"You weren't complaining the first time around.", he teased, winking and smirking at her. The young lady's eyebrows met in annoyance.

"Shut the f**k up, Laufeyson.", she retorted, stepping on his foot and proceeding to walk out, when her ex-lover grabbed her arm and spun her around, letting her chest smack into his.

"Ah-ah. Where do you think you're going, you little...", he trailed off as he stared into Kara's hazel orbs.

It was like he was caught in a trance. Their surrounding started to get all hazy, and their focuses were on each other.

Something about Kara's angry expression made her even more adorable in Loki's eyes.

But, that littke stare-off was interrupted by a fist colliding with his jaw. This stunned the raven-haired god, who gave her a shocked expression.

"Told you not to touch me, idiot.", she said, before storming out.

"That woman can punch, dammit.", he said, caressing the spot.

"And, we have arrived!", Tony announced when the airplane door finally opened. Fresh air and the sound of waves crashing in the ocean immediately welcomed the group of heroes.

"Where are we?", Rhodey asked, in awe of his surroundings. The rest of the team looked around, mouth agape at the spectacular view.

"Tickets here must've cost a fortune.", Wanda commented, earning a snicker from Clint.

"You underestimate the bounty of THE Mr. Anthony Edward Stark, child.", he replied.

"I hear my name being mentioned.", Tony remarked, raising an eyebrow.

"Sh*t.", Sam muttered. Steve glared at him, making Sam immediately hold up a peace sign.

"What is it, Wilson?", Vision asked.

"If I had known we were going to the beach, I wouldn't have packed so many jackets and hoodies. Dammit.", Sam replied, opening his duffel bag.

Thor peeked inside and laughed out loud.

"HAHAHA! SAM HAS BROUGHT A BIG PINK UNICORN WITH HIM!", Thor yelled, turning Sam's cheeks to crimson red.

"Shut up, Thor!"

"Aww, Sam. That's sooooo adorable!", everyone cooed.

Everyone except of course, Kara and Loki.

"This is going to be a long vacation.", the pair mentally thought to themselves.
