As Loki and Kara tried to keep up with the mysterious shadow, they found themselves heading in the more abandoned section of the facility.

After a few more minutes of chasing, the silhouette was caught at a dead-end. The couple stood several meters away from the potential assailant for precautionary measures.

"Give up, Blaire.", Kara called out, feeling quite anxious. Instead of a snide remark, Blaire's deep chuckles bounced off the walls of the corridor, adding a creepy vibe to the already tense situation. Loki felt his protective side taking over, standing just a few centimeters in front of his girl.

"Focus, Kara. This isn't the time for your stupid butterflies.", she scolded herself, giving her head a well-deserved smack in the back of her mind.

With one clap, the lights on the whole hallway went out, one by one, leaving the three of them in utter darkness.

"I can't see a thing!", Kara exclaimed, until she felt a hand grasp hers tightly. She groaned in exaggeration, pulling her hand away roughly. "Get your hands off me, Laufeyson."

Blaire came charging towards them at impeccable speed, throwing jabs and punches to various parts of their bodies.

Loki immediately cloned himself multiple times, forming some sort of barrier around Kara to protect her from Blaire's attacks.

Since he didn't possess any night vision, he relied on his enhanced senses to predict where the enemy would be next. But for some reason, Blaire was too quick, even for him. As a result, Loki would end up missing her from occasionally.

"Loki, get me out of here!", Kara demanded, trying to get past Loki's clone wall. She was met with only a grunt as an answer, with the god being focused on blocking Blaire's assaults.

Kara let out a heavy huff, before using her powers of intagibility and walking through Loki and his clones. Too busy fighting Blaire off, he hadn't noticed Kara's escape.

"Hey, b*tch.", Kara called out, ultimately catching both of their attention. "Why don't fight someone your own kind?", she taunted, putting her fists up as she did a battle stance.

Blaire turned away from Loki, who looked in Kara's direction with his mouth agape. The woman had a dangerous stare set on the brunette, but this didn't intimidate Kara one bit.

As she watched Blaire lunge towards her, Kara shut her eyes and tried to focus. Sadly, the other woman was faster, Blaire's fist colliding with Kara's jaw, sending her backwards.

Kara groaned at the pain, caressing the spot that was just hit. She then saw an arm extending towards her, offering to help her up. Being the stubborn girl she was, she rolled her eyes and smacked it away. "Don't f**king touch me."

But Loki wasn't having it. He took it upon himself to assist her up by grabbing her by the shoulders. Kara had a look of disgust on her face, pretending to wipe off the parts of her suit Loki had just touched. It was the Asgardian's turn to roll his eyes.

"We're not being her on our own, Kara.", he stated, engaging in a three-way stare-down with Blaire.

"Yeah, no sh*t, Sherlock."

Loki looked at her, offended. "I beg your pardon?", he asked, raising an eyebrow. Kara facepalmed, knowing how earthly things were not really in Loki's vocabulary.

"It's an expression, from a- you know, what? Screw it. I've got an idea.", she cut herself off, firmly taking ahold of Loki's hand.

"I thought you didn't like me touching you-"

"Zip it.", Kara interrupted him once more, concentrating. "Make sure those clones of yours stay."

By now, Loki was utterly confused. But, not wanting to start an argument with the woman, he shut his eyes and ensured that the clones were still in their presence.
