The rest of the week was dreadful, at least, in Kara's opinion. Loki followed her around wherever she went. He literally didn't let her out of his sight. One time she had to persuade him to leave the dining room because he was creeping her out, watching her like a hawk while she took a sip of her coffee.
The other Avengers didn't really converse with her. Steve did occasionally, since he had no choice as the leader of the team. Tony would mock her often, but the others simply avoided her. Natasha would eye her suspiciously when Kara fiddled with her wristbands.
Kara didn't mind it. In fact, she was pleased that she didn't need to deal with any of them.
"F**k them all anyway.", she would mutter under her breath.
For once, the world seemed at peace. There hadn't been reports of any crimes lately, which the team was happy about since they got their much awaited time-off.
Kara was feeling hungry again, despite eating lunch only a few minutes ago. She was currently sat watching televesion with Loki on the couch, the latter engrossed in a book while he had an arm around her shoulder.
She attempted to shrug his arm off a couple of times, but he would just wrap his arm around her tighter. She eventually gave up and focused on the show.
However, the grumbles from her stomach grew louder, earning a look from the God of Mischief.
"Hungry again?", he asked in a teasing tone. Kara rolled her eyes and dismissed his question.
Her stomach growled again, and Loki chuckled at this. He let his fingers dance across her shoulder and he leaned in to whisper in her ear.
"I might be able to fill your appetite.",
Kara's eyes widened and she pushed herself away from him, her eyebrows furrowing in the process.
"Eww. Stop being such a creep, Loki.", she replied, crossing her arms over her chest. Loki grinned and went back to reading his book.
Her stomach let out another grumble.
"For heavens sake, Kara. Go and find something to eat in the dining room.", he said, making Kara shake her head.
"I'm fine.", she replied irritatingly.
"Your stomach says otherwise.", Loki retorted, shutting his book and giving her his full attention.
"Why do you care?", she inquired, rolling her eyes and tearing her gaze off the screen to look at the floor.
Loki traced his finger along her jaw and turned her head to face him. His thumb rubbed circles on her chin.
"I always have."
Once again, the raven-haired god managed to turn the tough lady's cheeks into a tint of red with his comment. He smiled at the result of his actions.
"I'm going to the dining room.", she muttered before standing up and walking away. Loki's gaze followed her until he landed on the figure leaning against the wall.
"What, you witless oaf?", Loki mused, squinting his eyes at his brother who had a huge grin on his face.
"Watching you two is a treat, brother. 100 times better than the 'Gaming of the Thrones'.", Thor replied, before sending a wink towards his brother and sitting beside him.
Thor grabbed the remote and switched channels, raising the volume which annoyed Loki. The younger brother sighed and stood up, heading towards the dining room.
"Aww, Loki. Come sit with me!", Thor whined, pouting at him. Loki rolled his eyes.
"Shush, you! I have to watch Kara.", he retorted.
