"Could you pass me the champagne, Rhodes?", Tony muttered, not taking his eyes off the Playboy magazine in his hands.

"Tony, isn't it a little early for champagne?", he inquired back, earning a hum from his best friend.

"Plus, Pepper would kill you if she saw you reading those." Tony dropped his magazine on his lap and looked at Rhodey in the eye.

"Hey, isn't it a little early for the nagging?", Tony snapped back, raising an eyebrow. It was Rhodey's turn to roll his eyes. He passed the man beside him the bottle of champagne with a defeated sigh.

It had been only 10 minutes since they all settled down on the plane, and Kara was beginning to feel restless. She kept fidgeting and shifting in her seat.

"What is the problem?", Loki finally asked, now paying full attention to her.

"Nothing. Leave me alone.", she retorted, facing the other way. She watched the clouds pass the plane by while she drummed her fingers on her legs.

Loki seemed puzzled at her behavior. It didn't take a while for him to figure out that this started the moment he and Wanda left the room back at Tony's resort.

However, her being restless like this was new to him. She was always calm and composed.

"It does seem like something is wrong.", he spoke up again, making the lady beside him scoff.

"Mind your own business."

"Your business is my business.", he replied. He couldn't have imagined the blush that adorned her cheeks after he said that.

"Again, shut up."

"You like that phrase so much, don't you?"

"Why are you talking to me?", she cut him off, turning around with furrowed eyebrows. He was doing what he did best: getting on her nerves yet again.

"Why would I not?", he asked back. They stared at each other for a moment. The raven-haired god began to lean in, but she stood up with an exaggerated groan and left him.

"Where are you going?", Loki asked, following suit. Kara waved him off, heading towards the pantry area. She rummaged the cupboards for food other than peanuts and chips.

"We have not spent an hour on this plane and here you are, getting all hungry again.", the god remarked with amusement in his voice. Kara's eyes spotted some bread, butter and sugar on the topmost section of one of the shelves. "Bingo.", she muttered, going on her tiptoes to reach them.

Of course, being blessed with gifts like invisibility and shape-shifting, she could have been graced with a little bit of height, as well. Could have.

"Darn it!", she cursed, looking around for a chair or something to step on to get her food. Loki was simply watching her like some kind of TV show.

"You do know I can simply reach it for you-" "For the last f**king time, shut up!", Kara yelled, glaring daggers his way. The God of Mischief rolled his eyes and shoved her lightly out of the way.

"What the-" Kara was about to lunge at him when he turned back around with the bread, butter and sugar in his hands, an all-too familiar smirk on his lips.

Kara didn't seem the tiniest bit amused, but was sort of grateful the god before her was much taller than her. She extended her arms for the food, but Loki moved his hands out of her grasp. She looked at him, puzzled and irritated.

"Magic word.", he uttered, eyes on her. Kara cocked an eyebrow. "What?"

"Say the magic word.", he repeated, leaning against the counter top. "F**k you."

Loki grinned at this. "As much as I would love that, that isn't the magic word, Kara."

Kara lost her patience and dived straight towards him, focused on the food in his hands. Her stomach was churning by the minute, and she tried to forget Loki implying his desire of ravishing her. "Give me those!"

Loki then used his magic to make the items in his hand vanish in thin air, leaving Kara shocked and even more annoyed. He was about to walk away when he finally heard it.

"F**k it. Pleaaaaaaaseeeee?", Kara said, emphasizing the please quite too much. The raven-haired god smiled widely and made the items reappear in Kara's hands. "That wasn't too hard was it, dear?"

"Don't call me that. We know that's a f**king lie.", she spat, walking past him and bumping his shoulder. Loki wasn't having it, though. He grabbed her by the wrist, pulling her back.

"You do not talk to a prince like that.", he mused, face dangerously close to hers. "I talk to you however I want to."

"What has gotten into you? Three days ago, you were clinging on to me for dear life and kissing me on the cheek.", Loki inquired further. Kara held her stare. "Why do you care?"

"Why would I not?", he asked again, softly this time. Silence filled the air as they searched each other's eyes for something unspoken. They could have sworn that everything was suddenly in slow motion, like they were the only ones in each other's universe. Kara felt her heart beat speeding up, and Loki felt the urge to cup her face with hands and pull her close.

Just as Kara was about to open her mouth, a certain witch entered the scene. "There you are, Loki. I've been looking for you."

Great, there goes the moment.

"Yo-you have?", Loki stuttered, focus now on Wanda. Kara rolled her eyes and headed to her seat on the plane, deliberately ignoring Wanda's lingering gaze on her.

"Every f**king time.", she cursed under her breath, pulling down the retractable table in front of her.

"Language.", a voice spoke from in front. Kara smiled. "Sorry." The captain then made his way to the seat beside her, seeing its vacancy.

"So, what happened?", Steve asked, taking a sip of his coffee. Kara shook her head lightly. "Nothing."

"Hey, don't 'nothing' me. I didn't spend seven minutes in a room with you for nothing.", he added, eyes meeting her own, concern written all over them. Kara remained silent, but shifted in her seat to get a better view of Loki and Wanda in the pantry, talking and occasionally laughing.

"I see.", the soldier followed her gaze, and smiled at her. "What do you say we watch a movie?", he suggested, turning the television in front of him on. When Loki finally glanced at Kara, she looked back at Steve who was awaiting her reply.

With one final glimpse at the god who was now squinting his eyes at her, she smiled genuinely at the captain. "Go for it."
