"One last ride, Loki. Please?", Kara whined, clasping her hands together and putting on her best puppy dog face. Loki sighed, shaking his head.
"No. I do not need you throwing up all over again, Kara.", he said, crossing his arms and avoiding her gaze.
Kara pouted as they walked, making strange noises and kicking the pebbles on the ground. Loki couldn't resist looking at her, though. He glanced at the lady beside him to find her with her head down, arms behind her back and a defeated look on her face.
With one big, deep breath, Loki stopped walking. This made Kara stop, too. She looked at him expectantly.
"Only one.", the god stated, raising his index finger. Kara's eyes widened and she jumped up and down.
"Yes! Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!", she yelled, causing a few heads to turn her way. Loki shot them an apologetic look.
He was even more startled when he felt a pair of arms embrace his torso, squeezing rather tight. The raven-haired prince couldn't stop the blush appearing on his cheeks, hastily looking away so that no one will see.
Kara seemed to realize what she was doing, her eyes opening and quickly pulling away from the Asgardian. She ran a hand through her hair and kept a straight face, earning a smirk from the God of Mischief.
"It seems I am irresistible, am I not?", he teased, leaning forward. Kara rolled her eyes, moving back in response. "No way. Come on. I wanna ride the merry-go-round."
With that, the woman headed for the ride, Loki following behind her. Once his eyes landed on the horses moving around in a circle, his face contorted in disgust.
"What kind of pathetic Midgardian enjoyment is this?", he muttered to himself. He watched as the ride began to slow down, the giddy laughs and shrieks dying down, as well. His eyes then turned to Kara, who was waving him over.
"Come on! We're next!", she called out, a huge grin on her face.
Loki scoffed. "If I had known she was into horses, I would've taken her to Asgard so she can ride one for goodness knows how long."
As he approached the woman, he was led by the ride employee to one of the horses. He waited for Kara to choose one, then proceeded to take the horse next to her.
When all the horses were taken, a buzzer was heard, signalling that the ride will start to move again. As the ride sped up, Kara gripped onto the pole, enjoying the wind hitting her face.
"It's been a while since I've ridden one of these.", she piped up, glancing over at Loki.
Upon setting her eyes at him, she felt her heart beating fast. Loki looked majestic, his hair being swept back, his focus ahead of him, his hands holding the handles firmly, and the occasional smile that would leave his lips at hearing the kids behind him squeal in delight.
Kara seemed to forget that she was staring. She actually thought the ride was slowing down, given that everything she was seeing appeared to be in slow-motion.
"Sh*t, Kara. Snap out of it.", she mentally noted.
That was until a familiar pair of twinkling blue-green orbs met her own. Her head snapped back forward so quick, she thought her neck was going to break.
"F**k, f**k, he caught me again. I must look like a fool.", she whispered to herself, wanting to melt right there and then.
After what felt like an eternity, the ride finally slowed down to a halt. As Kara was about to get down from her horse, she saw a hand being extended to her from the corner of her eye. She glanced up to see Loki, acting all chivalrous.
