Chapter 13

I stared at my mom who is busy mixing the ingredients for her new recipe. She really love cooking, isang bagay na hindi ko namana sa kanya. I hate cooking as I hate my dad's kisses collection.

My mind thought about the talk between Cassandra, Shimie and I last week. As I look to the ingredients being mix, my mind thought how things got messed the moment I set my feet in SSA. I thought I'll just go to school being a badass and a troublesome.

Noong una ay nacurious lang ako sa 7DG nayan. Then I found myself also being curious towards Third and now? Nakita ko ang sariling naiipit sa pagitan ng dalawang gang na kahit kailan ay hindi ko inakalang magkakainteres sakin.

I know that I somewhat catch others attention pero hindi sa ganito. After hearing Shimie's love failure, mas lalo lang akong nababagabag ng mga taong nakapalibot sakin.

"Sweety pakiabot nga ng butter."

Nahinto ako sa pag-iisip at napatunganga kay mommy.

"Po?"

"Ang sabi ko, pakiabot nga ng butter."

"Oh yeah." Agad kong kinuha ang butter malapit sakin at inabot sa kanya.

"May problema ba sweety? Mukhang may iniisip kang malalim. Mind if you share it with me?" nilapag ni mommy ang bowl na hawak at tinitigan ako.

"Wala naman po mommy."

She's the best mom in the world. She knows when I'm problematic o kung wala sa sarili. And I love how she cares for me pero hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin kung ano ang bumabagabag sakin. It will just make her worried about me and that's the thing I'm avoiding.

"Really? But I've heard you heaved a sigh for three times since the moment you decided to seat there while watching me cooking." Mataman niya akong tinitigan as if weighing if what I've said is the truth.

"J-Just school stuff. Medyo busy ang school since sports fest namin next week." Pagsisinungaling ko. Well it's not really a lie since totoo naman ang tungkol sa sports fest next week.

"Ohh. So you're going to join?"

"I don't know. I'd rather sleep in my room than have sweat all over my body" I saw mom smirked since she knew how I hate school activities.

"Maganda na yung sumasali ka sa school activities. Hindi yung nananapak ka bigla." Tumawa siya na ikinangiwi ko. Really mom?

"How's dad anyway? Ilang araw siyang wala. Where did he go mom?"

"He went to a business trip. Medyo busy din sa company ngayon and there are many appointments he has to attend so he won't be home for awhile." Sagot niya habang inaayos ang niluluto.

"What are you cooking mom by the way?" tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo sa mesa ng aming kitchen at sinilip ang kanyang ginagawa.

"I'm doing my new recipe. It's a kind of cake na hindi ko pa napapangalanan." Masayang turan ni mom.

"Ohh.. Then can I be the first one to taste it?"

"Sure sweety."

Narinig ko ang pagtunog ng phone ko kaya nagpaalam ako kay mom na sasagutin ito. Pumunta ako ng garden at doon sinagot ang tawag.

"Hello?"
