Insomnia, the jewel in the crown of the Lucian kingdom, was celebrating the founders day festival only to have the celebrated occasion ruined by Ardyn and Ifrit but to them, it was an officer of sorts..This was one of Ardyn's mind games. Chaos claimed the cities streets and the announcer for the festivities warned people to get to safety. During the chaos, the missing soldier appeared on the large screen attached to one of the buildings.
"Testing, 1-2-3. Is this thing on?" Ardyn's voice came through the speakers. "Greetings, people of the Kingdom of Lucis. Do forgive me for interrupting the festivities...but I must tell you this day of rapturous revelry shall be your last. Call it "divine retribution." False kings and fraudulent nations are fated to perish. Sins of the past must not go unpunished. The time of reckoning is at hand! And today you shall atone on behalf of your forbearers. Resist if you wish, but know your fight against fate is a foolish and futile one."
In the Citadel, King Regis sat alongside his queen in their shared room as they watched the broadcast.
"Regis?" Aulea looked to her husband and childhood friend. The two have been married for about two years now and have been trying for a baby for quite a while now.
"Do not worry Aulea..In the names of the gods above and the angels that watch over us. I won't let this madman touch you."
"What are you going to do?"
"I am going to put a stop to him. I will assign guards to protect you in my absence. stay inside the citadel."
"Please be careful."
Back in Insomnia's City centre..Ardyn and Ifrit began to tear through the royal guard. "Well, time to set to work."
Ardyn then heard the voice of Clarus, the captain of the royal guard over radio of the guards he was fighting. "Attention, all units. This is your captain speaking. Code red. I repeat, code red. Follow your commanders orders and get the situation under control."
"Every word. Clear as day. The wonders of technology." Ardyn smirked as he deamonified his opponents.
A mind consumed with fury
Everybody's fully bride jury
Trust no one fully
The closest ones could be
The ones who break your neck in your sleep
That's how they do it
But I got to think

Now you're messing with a man who's obsessing with his vengeance
They better know, they better know what's really at stake
It's my turn now, watch me retaliate
"Clarus here. Have you identified the creature?"
"Not yet, but we believe it to be daemonic in nature." A Crownsguard member answered.
"A daemon?! But how could it possibly withstand the daylight?!" Clarus began to get rather worried for if daemons could now withstand the suns rays, the world my be in big trouble. "For now, help the citizens evacuate. The vanguard will take care of the giant.
"Absolutely, sir!"
Ardyn had already wipe out most of the Crownsguard, even after more kept coming, wave after wave. Each one meeting the same end as the others.
No one can fully understand anyone
But the backstabber, it's the obvious one
But infinitely lies, I'm ready, I'm the only one
Conscious, not-a(?) bother me like lonely one
Nothing, the most wanted, the most taunted
