In Tenebrae, the darkness of night had swallowed the land and Phoebe was sat up in bed, crying.
"What for does the princess weep?" a deep and soft feminine voice spoke.
Phoebe looked up and saw a woman dressed in black with white arm drapes. "Who are you?" she whimpered.
"Gentiana, I am a messenger. Faithful to the blood of the oracle." Gentiana softly spoke, sitting on the bed and stroking the young girls head. "The princess has read of our kind, no?"
Phoebe nodded and sniffed a bit, still crying.
"You wish to be free and meet your family, yet you feel confined, bullied by those of the imperial army." Gentiana stated.
"Yeah..I just want my family to be together, united..but the empire--" Phoebe was cut off.
Gentiana placed a finger to the little girls lips. "Hush now. The princess needs not fear the empire for her father is to fight back." She smiled. "Now you must rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long day."
"Okay." Phoebe whimpered as she snuggled down into her bed, cuddling her moogle toy. Gentiana sat beside her, watching over her while she slept.
The next day, Phoebe was changed from her usual attire into a child sized white dress with detachable sleeves that showed off her shoulders and ended at a ring on her middle fingers, much like her mother who wore a similar dressed but a more advanced version. They were being loaded onto a Niflheim ship by Ravus as they were headed to Lucis.
"Uncle? If we are headed to Lucis today..why couldn't mother and I have left yesterday and met you there?" Phoebe asked.
"You must understand Phoebe..I only want what is best for you. That being: your safety." Ravus patted her head.
"But..we would have been safe."
"You do not know that. You know not of the dangers outside of Tenebrae, This way, I can keep an eye on you and ensure your protected."
And that was the end of that. Phoebe didn't bother questioning anything else, fearing she'd end up with a beating otherwise from the soldiers. Once they had arrived in Lucis they were placed inside a car and given their own personal escort.
Meanwhile at the Citadel. A messenger just informed the king of the princesses arrival.
"The princesses?" Regis leaned forward. "Are you certain?"
"Yes, your majesty. They were among the last of the imperial contingent to enter the city." The messenger spoke.
"Prepare a room for them. They will want somewhere to rest I am sure."
Meanwhile, Nyx just got off the train in the subway as he was on his way to his post when Drautos drove around the corner in what appeared to be a sports car.
"Get in!" He beckoned to Nyx.
"I'm reporting to my post now though sir."
"New orders. Come on, we've got two princesses to pick up." Drautos smiled as he revved the cars engine.
Nyx got into the car and strapped in for the long ride.
"Nice ride, sir." Nyx smirked as he chuckled.
"It belongs to the prince. The king ordered some of his friends to take him outside the city." Drautos responded to the comment.
"Doesn't he have a wedding the plan, sir?"
"Cut the sir crap. The king has a plan of his own. Prince Noctis and Princess Lunafreya are to meet far from Insomnia."
"What is she and the kid doing here then?"
