Chapter 20: The Hunt Is On.

I'M NOT DEAD!! I know I haven't been posting, my mind has not been in a good place lately due to some severe mental health decline and I had intended to get this out sooner but some shit went down and I had to take a break to recover from some personal trauma. Now i'm back and ready to write again. enjoy :3

"Let's go!" Gladiolus cheered as he summoned his greatsword.

"Got it!" Noctis also cheered, warp striking the varmints and with the combine team work of the four bros, they managed to take care of the first group and then moved onto the next one.

Once the second group of varmints was taken care of the boys then continued on to the final group and decided to make some small talk to pass the long walk.

"So, where are we headed anyway?" Prompto asked.

"Nowhere until the repairs are done." Ignis chuckled. "Once the car is repaired, we make for Galdin Quay."

"Then we hop on a boat and before you know it, loverboy's hitched." Gladiolus smirked playfully at Noctis who just blushed a lot in response to hearing his friends mention his wedding to Lunafreya.

"So, we wait for car repairs then it's wedding bells in the air...got it!" Prompto cheered.

"It's..not just Luna we're meeting up with." Noctis admitted, deciding to finally tell them about his daughter.

"Oh?" Ignis looked at him. "Who else is there?"

"A little girl. She travels with Luna a lot."

"So, like a travel buddy?" Prompto smiled. "Kinda like us really."

"She not a travel buddy..She's our daughter." Noctis finally admitted.

As if an audible record scratch was heard, the boys all stopped walking and stared in shock at the prince.

"What?" Noctis asked while worried he would be chastised about his daughter.

"We're just...shocked. that means you must have had her when.." Ignis started only to be cut off by Noctis.

"When I was 8. Last time I heard from Luna, our little girl just turned 11 years old."

"Aww!" Prompto cheered. "I bet she's super sweet!"

"Easy there Prompto, Noct probably hasn't even met the kid yet." Gladiolus warned.

"I haven't but from what Luna has told me..she is really sweet..real fragile too."

"Think we'll meet her?" Prompto asked.

The prince looked down in thought for a moment the looked back up and nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure we will. Just remember to be gentle with her when we do meet her."

"Of course." Ignis nodded and the boys went off the finish slaying the last of the varmints in the area.

literally moments after the last of the varmints fell, Noctis' phone started ringing, it was Cindy.

"Hello?" Noctis answered the phone.

"Howdy prince, it's Cindy, how goes the huntin'?"

"Actually, we just finished."

"That's great, because I got one more hunt for y'all, only this time it's for a person. fella named Dave went off and we ain't heard from him since. reckon he's staked out a spot in an old shack nearby."

"Old..shack?" Noctis looked around and saw the shack. "Ah, got it. we'll take a look."

"Thanks, Prince. we'll have the car ready for you by the time you get back."
