That afternoon at the citadel, Nyx was stood at the top of the stairs when an announcer came onto the speaker, addressing the crowd. "Niflheim contingent has left the hotel. Less than 3 hours until the ceremony."
"Nyx, come in. Nyx Ulric, respond." Ashley's voice came through his earpiece.
"What's up Ash?"
"Is the kid with you?"
"No. I'm on duty at the citadel. Why?"
"Well the Lunafreya and the Niffs just left for the ceremony. She wasn't with them. Lunafreya just informed me Phoebe never made it back to their designated room last night either."
Alarm bells rang in Nyx's head as he realised what has happened and bolted back to his apartment. "Ash! meet me at the citadel!"
"Will do." she responded. "Be sure to tell me what you find."
"As always, Ash. I'll never leave you in the dark, you know that." Nyx smiled as he entered his apartment and grabbed the watch and took a closer look at it. It wasn't displaying the time like he originally thought but it was in fact, showing coordinates. "Coordinates.." Nyx gasps as he bolted outside and contacted Pelna. "Pelna! I fear the young princess is in trouble. The watch Crowe had on is showing coordinates. Something the young princess is wearing must have some kind of homing beacon."
"A homing beacon?" Pelna questioned.
"Yeah, I'll send the coordinates now." Nyx said, making his way back to the citadel. "Can you pinpoint a location for me?"
"Sure, but it sounds like a wild-goose chase. Guess you got some free time on your hands, huh?" Pelna teased as he got to work.
"Guess I do, for better or worse." Nyx chuckled and made his way back to the citadel.
Nyx had just reached the main street when Pelna radioed him back. "Those coordinates are about 20 miles south of Insomnia."
"Outside the wall." Nyx confirmed
"What the hell was Crowe doing all the way out there?"
"No, no. They sent her to--" Nyx stopped himself. "I need another favor, Pelna. Pull those coordinates up on the radar and let me know what you find."
"On it. You're thinking this is all a big deal now huh?" Pelna asked.
"Yeah too big to ignore."
Soon, Nyx met up with Ashley and filled her in on the situation as they approached the throne room.
"Ash, you need to meet with the king. i'll prep the glaive for action. The niffs have the prince's daughter." Nyx then handed her the watch. "These are coordinates. show them to the king for proof."
"Right!" Ashley nodded then ran off.
"Pelna, contact Ashley once you find something on the radar, I'm on my way."
"Got it." Pelna nodded.
Meanwhile, Ashley made her way to the throne room, trying to contact her captain.
"Ashley to Command. Are you there captain? It's urgent." Ashley got no answer. "Dammit Drautos!" She cursed a bit under her breath.
"Jackpot, Ash! The coordinates that Nyx gave me reveals a whole fleet of airships sitting at that spot." Pelna informed Ashley.
"Niflheim right?"
"Yeah. From the looks of it, I'd say they're headed to war." Pelna confirmed.
"Where's the captain?" Ashley asked.
"He should be at the citadel."
"There's no answer on his frequency."
