Skales explained how they had made amends and found a way to better themselves. Even though a lot of the snakes seemed friendly enough, you still kept your guard up.
'' So you got few snakes to go straight, doesn't mean there's not one bad apple. Fangpyres have white scales, don't they? '' Kai asked suspiciously.
'' A few, is this about the hard drive? '' Skales asked.
'' This is about the Overlord! '' Cole interrupted.
'' Ah! The overlord! Glad we weren't around for that mess. '' Skales said while Cole and Kai looked at each other.
'' No, we have no desire to meddle with the affairs above. '' Skales explained.
'' As you can see we stick to our own, we only want what is best for the next generation. '' Skales said and laid his hand on his son's shoulder.
'' Have a seat, you could learn a thing or two about your beloved golden master. '' Skales said and lead us to what looked like a fireplace.
We all sat down, and then a hoarse voice came from behind.
'' Hello hatchlings and camouflaged land-dwellers. Do you seek to learn the curse about the golden master? '' The snake said.
'' Tell me! Tell me! '' Jay said excitedly. The snake just shook his head.
'' Everyone come closer. '' He said and spit venom into the fire. The once calm fire now roared. The snake began to tell the story, but the ore he told the more you became confused, and you weren't the only one.
'' Is he talking about Lloyd? '' Zane asked looking over at Kai, but he shrugged and shook his head.
He also told us about how the serpentine had tried to warn the people this 'Golden Master', but they thought they were the enemy. They hid underground, promising to never return to the surface again.
He finished the story and we were all shock or disbelief.
'' I can't believe they think Lloyd could become the golden master. '' Kai said.
'' Well, he is the son of Lord Garmadon. '' Jay said. You just wanted to punch him after saying that, but you kept calm and didn't say anything.
'' What I wanna know is, if none of them took the hard-drive who else could it be? '' Nya asked.
'' WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!! PROTECT THE YOUNG!!! '' A snake suddenly shouted. Nindroids started flooding the place and attacking the serpentine.
'' These guys just don't know when to quit! '' Jay said.
'' I can't believe I'm saying this, Protect the serpentine! '' He said. You weren't much for the idea, but there was nothing much you could do.
You were fighting the nindroids, Zane doing the best he could since PIXAL wasn't with him.
'' Mommy! '' you heard a young snake shouted. You saw the snake you assumed was Skales' son about to be beaten by the leader of the nindroids.
'' Kai! '' You shouted which got his attention. He quickly stepped into action and knocked the Nindroid away from the child. You quickly picked up the child and ran over to his mother.
'' Hurry up and got out of here, this isn't a place for you guys to be safe. '' You said while handing over the child.
'' Thank you so much. '' She said and ran away holding her child's hand tightly. You turned around and began helping the others, but it was hard since we didn't know what was powering them.
'' Hey! they're powered by some sort of eel thing on their backs! '' Cole shouted. We all began disconnecting the eels on their back from powering them.
Soon every single nindroid laid on the ground motionless. But the peace was not over yet. Zane felt something grab his ankle.
'' Foolish nindroid, you're fighting for the wrong side. '' The nindroid said.
'' The Overlord! You will never succeed, not if we have anything to say about it. '' Zane said which caught our attention.
'' I already have hahaha. You've unknowingly lead me straight to the golden ninja, and this was merely a diversion to keep you busy. '' The Overlord said. We all looked at each other with concerned looks before Zane disconnected the nindroid.
'' The boy has too much power, I fear the curse of the golden master is upon us! '' Skales said.
'' the dawn of the end of times is near. '' the elderly snake said.
'' We have to get to Lloyd before they do! Are you sure you won't help us? '' Nya asked.
'' I'm sorry, we made an oath never to return to the surface. Good luck. '' Skales said. We were about to leave, but Skales stopped us.
'' Oh one more thing! There's only one serpentine who has had a history of being so fond of using electro cobrai. '' Skales said.
'' Who? '' we all asked.
