They stared at you for a bit, until one of them said:
'' Papa who is she? '' The little girl, Sophia asked.
'' This is...uh... I forgot to ask what your name is. '' The man said and placed scratched his neck.
'' That's okay. My names y/n, what's your name, Sir? '' You asked.
'' I'm Gabriel, and these are my children, Miguel and Sophia. '' He introduced himself and his two children. You looked at his children, who were hiding behind their father. You kneeled down to their level.
'' Hello I'm y/n, it's nice to meet you. '' You said in a sweet voice and smiled at them.
'' Y-you're really pretty. '' Sophia said.
''Aw thank you, but I think you are more beautiful, perhaps you are a princess. '' You said. She just laughed and blushed a little. Just then you saw the little boy looking at you.
'' And you must the boy who defeats dragons and all the bad guys, '' you said. Miguel didn't say anything, just stiffen and gave you a firm nod. Gabriel laughed and tousled his hair.
'' y/n here are going to be staying here for a while, so she will be taking care of you while I'm at work. '' Gabriel said.
'' Yaay!!! '' Sophia cheered. Miguel still just stared at you.
'' Let me show you your room y/n. '' Gabriel said and led you to a small room with a small bed on the floor and a dresser.
'' I know it's small but it'll do for now. '' Gabriel said.
'' This is fine Gabriel, I don't need much. At least I have a place to stay, '' you said and gave him a smile.
'' When you're done here, would you mind helping me in the kitchen. I could really some more hands. '' Gabriel asked you.
'' I don't mind at all, just go wait for me in the kitchen, '' you said. Gabriel left for the kitchen. You out down your bag, and looked around the room. There was a window close to the bed, where you could see a little backyard. You decided to go down to the kitchen. You found the kitchen and saw Gabriel peeling some potatoes, and beside him and cutting board full of unchopped vegetables.
'' Need some help, '' you said. You grabbed a knife and began chopping the vegetables. In no time, you were done chopping all the vegetables.
'' That was fast, how did you do it so fast? '' Gabriel asked you.
'' I have a friend who is really good at cooking, so I learned a few things from him. '' You said remembering the things you had learned from Zane.
' I wonder how they're doing? ' you thought to yourself.
