Chapter 10
I got home late but luckily my father was not home yet.
I sneaked in and stole my phone.
I live like a prisoner in my own home. My own father treats me like a prisoner.
I'm at the library studying for exams. I can't concentrate on anything. My mind is working over time trying to figure out a way to I don't know... Escape maybe.
Move in with me
Shane's words keep playing in my head.
I can't and will not move in with him. I cannot.
My phone rang...
'Shane, I was just thinking about you' I smiled shyly.
'You were?' He sounded surprised.
'Yes, I was'
'Well then you'll be happy to know that I'm on my way to your school as we speak'
'School's not out yet' I whispered.
'Five minutes left. I'll be outside the gate'
'okay'
I exited the library. I tried fixing my hair with my fingers.
"Who are we getting all pampered for?" Zoe asked.
"Shane is here" I couldn't hide the excitement.
"Shane is here?" She shouted, "where is he?"
"Shush"
"You guys dating?"
"Well...we're enjoying each other's company"
"And you're only telling me all this now?"
"There is nothing to tell"
I left Zoe and went outside the school. Found Shane parked a few houses away. He watched me walk towards him with a smirk on his face.
He is so gorgeous!
"Hey" I planted a kiss on his cheek.
"Did I ever tell you how hot you look in your school uniform?"
He held the door open for me.
"No" I blushed.
"You look hot in your uniform" He winked.
"Thanks"
We drove to McDonalds for burgers and fries then drove to his house. We watched a horror movie. I have my head rested on his chest. This feels good.
"You're not scared of horror movies, are you?" He said at the end of the movie.
"Nop"
"My girl" He smiled.
I cleared the table and he followed behind.
"So..."
"So?"
"I was thinking..."
"Yes?"
"Fuck! Why am I so nervous?" He laughed. "Would you like to go on a weekend getaway with me this weekend?"
"What?" I stuttered.
"getaway trip to Jo'burg Friday to Sunday"
"You seem to have forgotten about my Father" I reminded him.
"I have not. a teacher friend of mine agreed to fake an invitation letter to the 'museum' for bright students and you are one of them"
"A Teacher friend from my school?" I raised a brow at him.
"Yes"
"Who?"
"Mr Bubbles"
"Who is Mr Bubbles?"
"Mr Langa"
"You told Him about us?" I gasped.
"Yes" He casually shrugged.
"What did you say?"
"I said I needed a favour and he said cool"
"Cool?"
"Yes, stop questioning me, will you?"
"I'm just flabbergasted"
"Flabbergasted?"
"Shocked, surprised"
"Why?"
"That you did that. He is My physics teacher. How am I supposed to look at him now?"
"Look at him? Fuck you don't have to look at him, you just have to listen to him teach"
"Oh my god"
"Stop freaking out and tell me whether you're in or out?"
"I... I don't know"
"Stop with the back and forth and give it to me straight" He Snapped.
"Give me the letter"
"I sent it to your house earlier today"
"You didn't?"
"I did"
"If we want this to work, I have to go home before my father"
"Let's go"
Shane drove me home and dropped me off.
We didn't kiss today. He didn't even try to kiss me.
Why didn't he?
I wanted to kiss him but I didn't wanna be the one to initiate the kiss.
"Where were you? I cooked and cleaned and swept the yard alone" Phila snapped me out of my bubble.
"I was with Shane" I bit my lip.
"Your Shane? Doctor Shane?"
"One and only" I smiled
"You guys a thing now?"
"Stop with the questions" I rolled my eyes at her.
"I wanna know" she protested.
"We are a thing" I said, casually to her.
"You really like him, don't you?"
"I think I more than like him" I admitted.
"What about Dad?"
"What about Dad?" I snapped at her.
"You're ruining his plans"
"I know" I rolled my eyes.
"You should let him deflower you, that way Dad won't get you married"
I sat down and took in Phila's words. She's right. If I sleep with Shane, my Dad will get mad and stop all the marriage plans.
In order for me to Marry, I have to be a virgin.
Why didn't I think of this?
Genius.
One problem though, I like Shane. I don't wanna use him and lose him.
He is so good to me.
This is for the both of us. I'm doing this in order for us to be together. I want to explore this relationship and maybe get my heart broken.
This is way too short and boring. I'm so sorry. I will update a full chapter on Monday. (Its Friday today) whoever is reading please do forgive me.
