You looked yourself over in the mirror one last time as you straightened your dress shirt. You took a deep breath and nodded. You straightened your collar and stood up straight. It was prom night and you had to look perfect. Not only were you the fifth 'Heather' but you wanted to look good for Veronica. Everyone was going in their signature color so of course, you had to wear black. You looked at your hair and ran a hand through it, making it just right.
You shook off. "You got this Y/N. This is your night." You heard a ping from your phone. 'That must be the limo.' you thought to yourself. You grabbed the corsage you got for Veronica and walked down to the front door. You had to pick up the girls so you were the first in the stretch limo.
You say back after giving the driver instructions. You tried to calm yourself. You and Veronica had been dating for five months now, there was no reason to be as nervous as you were. Nevertheless, you couldn't help it. You had an image to uphold, you were afraid you were going to make a fool of yourself.
After a 10 minute drive, you finally pulled up to Heather Chandler's house. You got out clutching the corsage. 'Calm down' you thought to yourself. You took a deep breath once up to the door and after hesitating you knocked three times.
You stepped back and waited. There was no answer. You frowned and decided to wait a little longer. After another moment of nothing, you sighed heavily and went to knock once again. Just as your fist was about to make contact with the door you heard the doorknob start to turn.
You jumped back and cleared your throat as the door opened. You straightened up and put on a small smile. It was Mac who opened the door. You smiled down at the shorter girl. She had a lovely yellow dress on and get hair was completely down. "Hey, Mac, are y'all gonna be ready soon?" You tilted you're head to the side. She nodded and opened the door wider for you.
"The girls are just doing some finishing touches." She says as you step into the house. You look down at her dress really taking it in. "You look very nice tonight Heather." You smile charmingly.
She chuckles "Save it for your girlfriend." She turns and walks back up the stairs. You stay behind and walk over to the living room area. You take a seat on the couch and start to play a few games on your phone, tapping your foot anxiously.
Soon footsteps, sound from the top of the stairs. You spring to your feet putting your phone in your back pocket. You walk back to the stairs and once your eyes land on Veronica, your jaw hits the floor.
She looks utterly beautiful in her dark blue dress. Your heart skips a beat as you notice the way it's fitted to her body. Your eyes travel all over her as you try to engrave this moment in your memory forever. You shake your head and close your mouth smiling brightly as the girls.
Chandler has her smirk plastered on her face. "You clean up nice Y/N." She says giving you a once over. You playfully now low at the waste. "Why thank you, oh icy one." You tease and a playful smirk on your lips. She rolls her eyes and walks past you to the door. You stand up straight once again and smile at Duke.
"Must you always dress like that?" Duke remarks with an eyebrow arched. "Green really is your color, you're always so envious of my dashingly good looks." You joke with a bright smile. She shakes her head and chuckles as she walks past you Mcnamara following close behind.
