Kill the Lone Assassin - part 1

Tatsumi's POV

I read the script written on the mission form.

it says:

Dear Night Raid,

I have reason to believe that a rich noble is leading gold digging woman into his manor, and torturing them to death. I've already lost my friend to him, I want him put down. he should be out of town tomorrow, in his mountain villa, most don't know where it is, so there isn't much guards, it should be easy to slip in and out.

good luck

I look up at Najenda, our leader, sitting on her chair. she seems to be thinking.

"what's your idea?" I ask her.

Najenda simply groans and stands up, walking to the kitchen.

"I have a bad feeling about this job... I'll send You, Lubbock, and Akame on this job." she said, scratching her head.

I nod my head in agreement, it should be easy, with the info gained from the letter, it sounds easy. But, one can never be too sure.

"when should we leave?" I ask before Boss (Najenda) leaves the room.

She just smiles, "Somewhere between now and tomorrow afternoon, I have another job for your after this, so make it quick and easy." she says.

I quickly jog down the halls and get to the rooms. as I jog, Mine turns the corner and runs straight into me. she falls to the ground, but I still stand.

I hold out my hand to her, "You okay?" I ask.

she looks up at me with a sour look and it takes her awhile to accept my hand. "watch where your going next time, you idiot." she scolds.

I grin, "aren't you just tired? you stayed up late last night, right?"

She stares at me, as if I've committed some sacrifice ritual. her small body and pink twin pigtails were quite cute when you look through her door when she's doing something at night.

"w-what did you see!?" She yells at me, pointing at my face.

I just grin deeper, "I don't know, what did I see?"

she growls and kicks my shin.

"you jerk! what did you see?!" She yells.

I smile up at her while hugging my shin.

"For such a tough acting girl to keep a diary..." I start.

suddenly Mines face is full of blush, and she tried to hide it by pretending she got angry at me.

"Shut up, you ass hole!" She yells again in my face.

I laugh with a sinister smile, "I wouldn't be mean to the guy who knows your secret, now would you?" I say with an obviously fake innocent voice.

Mines face is about to implode. but I quickly brush her off and continue to jog to the kitchen, Akame should be baking right now. in the background I can hear Mine growl and curse me with a bunch of really crude language.

I open the door to the kitchen to see...

I giant flipper in my face. yes, I said flipper, like the type that's five feet in length and is attached to a giant fish that looks like it could eat me within one swallow.

the flipper slaps me square in the face, and sends me flying into the wall. I can't move my body because I'm stuck now.

"Shit, why are we eating dangerous looking things again?!" I yell frantically.

"Welcome to the club." said a voice next to me.

as I turn to my left and see Lubbock in the wall as well, were both stuck in the wall, and judging by the giant red bruise on his face, the same thing happened to him.

"why are you in here." I ask him as I try to puzzle out why there's a giant fish in the kitchen that's still alive.

Lubbock looks at the ground in defeat.

"Akame asked me to watch the dinner she caught while she went to freshen up. I'm never doing food duty again." he said in a low tone of voice.

I quickly remembered why I was there.

"hey, we got a job, me, you and Akame." I said to Lubbock.

He brightened up a little with a short smile.

"Good, I can get away from this Damn circus for awhile." he says as tears come to his eyes in defeat.

he becomes serious.

"so, what's the job?" He asks.

"well, you see-" I start to say, but I'm interrupted by the door opening to a girl with long back hair and red eyes.

Akame.

in her hand is a giant clever. the blood from me and Lubbocks faces is gone.

"H-hey, Akame. what are doing with that knife?" Lubbock slowly says.

there's a tiny glint in her eyes that say that she's in cook mode, and she's aiming for the fish.

"noooooooo! the horror!" Lubbock and me scream as a bloody massacre unfolds before us.

(hope you guys are enjoying this so far with the plot and all. I tried to add some comedy, I hope you enjoyed it. I have more in store, but I'm not sure how long this series will be, so please be patient with me.)
