Tatsumi POV
"Uh, listen... I need refocus right now... and your..." I mumble.
Esdeathe pretends to not notice what I said, when she obviously did. I'm sitting in my tent, working on the new files for the new members, Cyrus told me to do it since he's trying to find a new HQ.
There, I finished Waves file... all that's left is... I think to myself. All that's left is Esdeathe's file. The others I had to ask about their pasts and Teigu, but I already know about Esdeathe, she told me her past back when were teleported to that island.
She sees that I'm beginning to work on her file and grins, waiting to see how I describe her. I nervous, I'm afraid if I say anything wrong it might make her either angry or sad... wait, why am I worried about her so much? Focus on the task at hand, Tatsumi!
I write her name and gender, I then write down her Teigu, what it does. But I can tell she wants to see if I remember about her past, her eyes drifted to the part labeled "Bio".
I pause, then grab my coffee, drinking, and then abruptly get up. Esdeathe is blinking, wondering why I would leave, I look at her like I just noticed she was there. "Break time." I said simply.
She frowns as I walk to the tent flap, but I'm stopped at her clutching to my arm, tugging at it. I turn and see her staring in my eyes, but to her surprise, it has no effect at all. I give her a blank expression, then shake my wrist free, walking out of the tent.
Doya POV
I see Tatsumi walk out of his tent, a bit angry looking. I stop at his entrance and watch Esdeathe walk out, a pained look on her face. It's obvious what happened, she was being too clingy.
I walk up to her at poke her shoulder from behind to get her attention, she turns and smiles. "What is it Doya?" She asked.
What a fake smile. "Tatsumi not giving you any attention?" I asked.
She began to shake her head, but then nodded slowly. I'm glad she can use me as a shoulder to lean on at times like this. Esdeathe plays with her hair, which is odd, I've noticed she's changed from the time she's been here, though it's only been a week.
I sigh. "Just so you know, Tatsumi probably doesn't want to fall in love right now." I said.
"Why is that?" She quickly said, wanting to know.
I looked at the ground, sorrow swept into rethinking of the way Mine had died, so quickly yet so brutally. "He recently had someone he cared for... but she died awhile ago... right in front of him." I said.
Esdeathe seems surprised, not at the death part, but probably at he had a girlfriend before.
"So, your saying it's not wise to pursue him?" She asked.
I stretch, walking back to the dining tent. "I'm not saying you can't try, but don't blame me if you get burned for it. He's taken the motto of, if I fall in love, then it'll just end like last time. So, it's your choice. Because if you do die in the future after stealing his heart... he'll probably break." I explained.
She nodded grimly. She then turned and walked to get tent she shared with Kurome, leaving me to walk into the dining tent. Inside sat Lubbock, still playing with that guitar of his. An acoustic, it looks like.
"Still working on that thing?" I said, sitting next to him.
He frowned. "It's not a thing. This is my little treasure." He said, hugging it close to him.
It must be pretty important to him to hold it close to him like that. Is it funny that I'm jealous of that friggin guitar? He's been showing it way too much attention!
