Kill the Dragon Tamer - part 4

Cyrus POV

All I could see was swirls of red and my surroundings blurred. My head thronged like crazy, and I couldn't feel my body. I see the faint outline of Doya's body kneeling near me, checking on the wound. She pulls my mask off, checking my face.

"Damn, it got you good." Her voice was shaking. I guess she's not good with patching up wounds. I purposely bite my tongue, hard. Tears well up in my eyes and I catch one with my finger, placing it on the gun wound.

The wound started to pull together, and soon the bullet popped out, making pain shoot out in my body. I scream, Doya puts a piece of rag in my mouth to bite on.

I grit my teeth as the rest of my flesh heals, and I look over at Lubbock. I'm surprised to see that he is fighting Xavier hand to hand.

I try to get up, but Doya stops me, pushing me back down. "Stay down, your body is still in pain." she said, her voice had a motherly tone in it that just made you listen to whatever she said. I lose all tension in my body and close my eyes, passing out.

Lubbock POV

I quickly kicked Xavier in the gut, making him cough up some saliva. He grabbed me leg, and dug his claws into my leg, I yelled in pain as I leaned forward and punched him square in the face.

He took a step back, fazed from my punch, I then kneed him in the side, making him fall to the ground. I tried for a downward elbow hit, but he caught me again and threw me over his shoulder, into the snow.

"Why you little!" He gasped for air from my stomach hits.

I grin, "What? can't take a weakling?"

He growls and launches at me, and slashes sideways, I duck and slide my leg beneath him, making him trip.

he falls to the ground, and tries to get up, but I wrap my thread around his arms, and tense them, making them take through his skin. He screamed and pulled, but that just made it worse. Soon I felt the thread reach him bone, that's when I yank the thread as hard as I could.

There's a cruel and gruesome sound. Clunk.

Next thing you see is his arm flying off, he's too surprised to even scream. Blood squirted all over the place, it hit me but I didn't care, I got closer. He clenched his arm, and looked at me in horror.

My eyes are shaded by my hair, but I look down at him with a dark face. "Who's the weakling now?"

Xavier whined, and tried to crawl away. But I stepped on his back so hard I heard a crunch. He tried to scream but all I heard was a squeal.

I slowly take my time to wrap the threads around his neck, installing terror into him.

"No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no." He murmured faster and faster.

I put my face up to his and get ready to tense the threads around his neck.

"Yes."

His head flew off, and landed in the snow about two feet away. The snow around me was now soaked with blood, it looked like a massacre. I can't help but cringe up and think, I did this.

I put my hands on my head and tried to get his terrified eyes out of my head. that was probably the most brutal kill I ever did, and I wasn't proud of it.

"I'm a monster." I whisper.

Suddenly arms wrap around me, and squeeze me softly. I glance behind me to see Doya.

"We're all monster. That's why we can change this empire." she whispered back.

I look at the blood stained ground and slowly nod. That's right, we did this because no one else will. Just like boss said. "to save humanity, one must sacrifice their own humanity."

I laugh at me remembering that. She said that when Cyrus first joined, now that I think about it. But it made sense. And that's what made it hurt so much.

"You two love birds done? Let's get going." Cyrus said as he woke and whistled for the manta.

Me and Doya quickly separate, both of us blush. Doya can be daring when it's just me and her, but when someone else is watching, she's shy about it. That's cute... wait what?

I shake my head and head to the manta.

Whether or not were monsters doesn't matter. We have thoughts and emotions. That's what makes us human.
