Kill the False Priest! - part 2

Mine POV

Damn that long haired Founder! when me and Tatsumi were scouting, he said we were "bound by the red strings of fate?!" What the hell does that mean?!

When we got back, we reported, but Tatsumi is deep in thought about something. I guess I'll leave him alone. Lubbock and Doya got in the briefing room last, what were they doing?

"The fake Priests name is Borick. he plans to kill the great Lord in order to take his place. We're to stop him." Najenda explained the plan.

She continued.

"I've already had Susano begin the tunnel the distraction team will use to get in without being seen. This will be Me, Susano, and Doya." She explained.

Doya and Susano gave each other a slight nod, looks like they're going to be working together. Najenda pointed to another part for the map she was using, moving chess pieces along it.

"Mine, Lubbock, and Akame will be the stealth team that will take the Jäegers by surprise." She said, putting our pieces at the back of the church.

I hear Tatsumi gulp down. "The Jäegers will be there..?" He asked nervously.

Tatsumi has history with them all, so he knows them. We've got a lot of them to deal with.

There's Wave, the navy man that has Grand Chariot. We don't want to underestimate him, that's what Tatsumi said.

Kurome, of course. She has her katana, that if your killed with it, you'll turn into one of her puppets.

Seryu, the girl with an organism Teigu, Koro. A harmless looking dog, but it turns into a very ugly, buff, beast. She's a major bitch, and the one who killed Sheele. If I see her... she's dead.

Also Run, a man with wings as a Teigu. He can shoot sharp feathers out of it, but that's all we know right at the moment.

Then there's Esdeathe, of course. The one we mostly have to worry about. And plus, if she sees Tatsumi without his armor on... he'll get kidnapped again.

I sigh, thinking of our enemies. This will be a very tough fight, we might not even get out of this one alive. But I will, I can't die just yet. Not until I change this country into one without discrimination. A country that helps immigrants, not outcasts them.

Tatsumi piped up. "What about me?"

Najenda smiles. "You'll be a very important part in this plan, you'll use your invisibility to get close to the target, then strike when the Jäegers are focused on us. The stealth team will either help us or help you."

"That's the plan? So when are we doing this?" Asked Lubbock.

I snapped at him. "Of course were doing it tonight, idiot!"

"I-idiot?! what the hell-" He started.

"Calm down you two." Tatsumi said, his face low. We both shut up, trying to act a little more controlled. Susano and Doya soon left after that, getting into position with Najenda.

Me, Akame, and Lubbock all got on the air manta. somehow, it felt empty on the manta, and I didn't know why, but seeing Tatsumi holding the reins felt... wrong.

"Cyrus usually drives." Lubbock says under his breath, making me and Tatsumi look grim. Yes, I have to admit, it was lonely without the hot head around. He left a brother figure on me, and he always seemed to oversee all his mistakes, and keep moving. He didn't believe in revenge, unlike me, who wants nothing more than to kill Seryu.

Cyrus once told me, once he heard about Sheele...

I never met this Sheele. But I bet she was an amazing and caring woman. But I won't take part in this 'revenge' your trying to accomplish. he had said this to me.

He was hard to understand, yet easy to get along with. My first impersonation of him was a killer that only cared about himself and money, but after awhile, I got used to him.

Tatsumi sighs, looking into the clouds as we lifted off. "I wonder what that guy is doing right about now?"

Lubbock laughs a bit. "I bet he's doing some training... or something else that isn't a waste of time."

I just smile. Even without Cyrus, we have strength.

When I see that hot head again, I'll give him a good punch!

Doya POV

The tunnels end was small, and was probably hard to see under the trees. Susano made this tunnel, it was pretty impressive.

"Now the plan sets in motion!" Najenda says as we jump out of the hole and run across the plains, into the courtyard.

As we enter, all the guards suddenly freeze, I pull out my guns and smile. "Who's first?"

I start shooting as Susano take his staff and blows through many people. Najenda uses her arm to punch and do martial arts to take down opponents.

We burst through the door, me and the others instantly recognize the long, blue haired beauty standing before us.

Esdeathe stands in front of the target, who is protected by Seryu and Kurome. Esdeathe scans us, then smiles.

"There's obviously another group... Seryu, go outside in the back." She said, already getting whiff of our plans.

Najenda swore under her breath. "Take her down, Susano!"

Susano charged, and so did I. I could tell Tatsumi was somewhere in the church. But he couldn't blow his cover, not now.

I see Najenda do a hand signal, signaling for Tatsumi to intercept Seryu after the target is dead. Looks like this mission is gonna get hairy fast.

I hope Lubbock will be alright.

(I felt like getting a bit more in since I owe you guys for the glitch with Kill the Insanity. Thanks for 1.3k views! I couldn't have done it without you! the next few chapters are gonna be of this mission, which might take awhile, so we won't see Cyrus for about five to four parts, sorry!)
