It wasn't too long after I left the mess hall that I found myself being dragged around the courtyard; courtesy of Mina, of course.
She seemed to be in a particularly good mood. While it might've been that she had thoroughly enjoyed Eren's story, I knew the ravenette too well to know that a simple story about Titans was what had her practically bouncing off the walls.
"(Y/n)! This is Marco. Marco, this is my adorable little sister, (Y/n)!"
As soon as I laid eyes on the boy, my heart began pounding in my chest, "Mina, we've... already met each other."
"I know! I just thought a formal introduction would be better since the two of you are so... formal."
I quirked a brow, "is this your way of making fun of me?"
Mina flashed me a mischievous smile, "what ever gave you that idea, dear sister?"
"You're lucky I love you so much." I sigh, shaking my head at the girl's antics. She stuck her tongue out for a moment, so I turned toward the male who stood across from me, "I apologize that my sister has brought you into her little games. I hope she hasn't troubled you."
"Not at all! It's a pleasure to 'formally' make your acquaintance, (Y/n)." Marco smiled, extending his hand.
I decided that I liked his smile.
"Likewise!" I grinned, taking his hand and giving it a short shake. My treacherous heart fluttered at the contact. I couldn't quite explain it, but his grip on mine felt comforting. I pulled away as soon as I felt my face start to warm.
"Thank you for humoring my sister in her request."
"It was my pleasure. Until we meet again?"
I laughed, "until we meet again."
"Goodbye Marco!" Mina called. As soon as Marco had walked a fairly good distance, Mina turned to me with a smug expression, "I think he likes you."
"What?!" I exclaimed, "where did that come from?!"
The only response my raven haired companion gave me was a cheeky smile before running off without me. I was about to chase after her when a sudden realisation occurred.
I was no longer wearing my necklace.

??? P.O.V.
Dim shades of purple and blue were usually the colours I saw in the sky when day inevitably turned to night.
While I'd like to think that I don't pay much attention to the sky, I always did. It was always disappointing to realise that the sky was filled with cool colours during dusk. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against cool colours. In fact, blue is probably one of my favourite colours! But the cool colours in the sky always seemed to remind me of her.
The absence of her, specifically.
I guess that's why, as bright hues of orange and red ran across the sky, I couldn't help but stare out into the horizon. It felt like it had been forever since the last time the sky looked this beautiful.
I wonder if she's looking out onto the sky as well?
"(Y/n)? What are you doing out here all alone?"
The girl didn't turn around to face me; she simply tapped the ground beside her as though to beckon me to her side.
"Isn't the sky so pretty?" She asked, her eyes never leaving the distant horizon.
