The Ridewatch Hero (Kamen Rider Zi-o x My Hero Academia)

Ch.10 - New Discoveries

"Will you let go of me?  This clearly counts as harassment." Ryou complained, trying to release this girl's grip on him.

What a weird predictament.  Here he was moping about getting into a spat with Todoroki, and this random girl found him and just started dragging him down the hall. 

"There's no time to waste!  I need to see what these "Ridewatches" are, immediately!  This could be one of my best babies yet!"

"Did you just say what I think you just said?  That's highly disturbing."

Mei eventually dragged Ryou into a room that kind of looked like a workshop.  Someone with a huge yellowish object on his head was in the classroom fiddling with something.

"Ms. Hastume...what did I say about taking students against their will?" The man sighed.

"Hey, you're the Pro Hero, Power Loader, right?" Ryou asked.

"That's correct.  Nice to meet you at last, Ryou Soutou.  You've been making a name for yourself across the school.  Anyways, what did this girl do you?"

"Um...nothing.  She just told me she could help me with my Ridewatches."

Mei ended up taking a blank Ridewatch, and started inspecting it. "Incredible...I've never seen anything like this!  I must start working.  You don't mind, do you?"

Ryou didn't even realize she had one of his Ridewatches. "You know what?  Knock yourself out."

Power Loader put his hand on Ryou's shoulder. "Her intentions are good, but I agree, she can be odd at times.  But I tell you, she's a great inventor."

"That's what this is?"

"This is the support course.  Unlike the hero course, that trains heroes, we make the gadgets and gear to assist the heroes.  How do you think we made the costumes for your class?"

"Wow..." Ryou smiled. "Wait, Mei...was it?"

Mei looked up from the Ridewatch and turned to Ryou. "What is it?"

"I um...don't expect you to understand this, but I have a challenge for you.  My Ridewatch can take the Quirk of another person and use that power and transform it to a Kamen Rider power.  But...I can use the power instantly.  It just makes the colour come back and then I have to work on it for a while before I can use the Ridewatch."

"So...what you're saying is, you want to be able to use the power instantly, right?"

"I...um... actually, yeah, that could work.  Go for it!"

Mei went to work, taking multiple tools and started picking apart the Ridewatch. "If you have others, I can do the same to them."

Ryou handed her the remaining two he had left. "Um..what about these two?" He also put the incomplete Fourze watch and the other watch on the table.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it.  Hehehe...I can't wait to see how this turns out.  My babies will be perfect!"

Ryou turned to Power Loader, ignoring Mei's weird things she was saying to herself.

"You seem troubled, Ryou.  What's got you down?" Power Loader asked, pulling up a fold up chair.

"I mean...I just...well...one of my classmates pointed out that I could take advantage of my powers in the upcoming Sports Festival.  My Quirk allows me to use the Ridewatches of Kamen Riders, and some Ridewatches can use the Quirks of others to make a Kamen Rider Ridewatch."

Power Loader nodded. "Right.  So your friend is worried you could take advantage of that and use that ability to put yourself ahead of others?"

"Yeah."
