Ryou woke up early that morning, doing stretches, and sorting his belongs. It was finally time, the day of the sports festival.
He went to the mirror, and looked at his reflection, rubbing his eyes.

He decided it was time for a change. The special occassion? He felt like a changed person. More stronger, wiser. And he felt his appearance had to change a little.
For one thing, he didn't need his glasses anymore. He did just wear them because it was slightly necessary, but he decided it was fine to drop them for good. As for his hair, he had dyed it black last night. Which it came out pretty well. Again, he felt like it was time for a change, and he always wondered what it was like if he had black hair.
"Dang...I look good."
He went to his desk, and sat down, getting his things ready.
For the festival, there were special rules put in place for Ryou. While everyone else's Quirks were great, some probably better than you, their limitations were not to use their hero costumes. Because Ryou didn't "technically" have a hero costume that boosted his Quirk, he was limited to his Ridewatches he could carry. He could only carry 5 Ridewatches.
Ryou looked at his collection. So many Ridewatches, but limited...that made things interesting. His powers were limited, but every Ridewatch had its advantages and disadvantages.
Guess that meant, for now, Zi-O and Geiz were out of the picture. They were fine for combat, but at the moment, he had a few better ones.
But what to choose? His arsenal could be his greatest asset, but his downfall as well.
There was a knock on the door. Sunny burst into the room, carrying a sign that said "Ryou = Hero".
"Wow, Ryou...you look so different!"
"Is that really necessary?" Ryou shook his head.
"Aizawa has agreed to let me spectate in the audience! So yes, I believe this is very much necessary! You will need my full support, and I plan to make sure everyone knows I'm rooting for you!"
Ryou fixed his school uniform, which he had on, and put on his Ridewatch belt. "You're too kind and pure, Sunny. Thanks a bunch."
"Have you decided what Ridewatches you will be using?"
"Yeah, I know what I need now.". Ryou attached five Ridewatches to his belt, and walked out the door. "Let's go. Don't want to keep the rest of them waiting."
"Wait! What did you choose...?"
Ryou grabbed Sunny's arm, beaming. "That's a surprise."
They were about to leave, however, Ryou's Grandmother stood in the doorway.
"Ryou, honey. I'll be watching you from T.V. okay? And please...don't get kidnapped and try to avoid Villains this time."
"No sweat, grandmother Soutou! I'll be with him. I have my Miridewatches as well should anything bad happen." Sunny replied.
