The Ridewatch Hero (Kamen Rider Zi-o x My Hero Academia)

Ch.29 - Decisions, Decisions.

"Ryou, how come you're so ahead of me?  Aren't you waiting for me?"

"Ah...yeah.  About that...I gotta head to school early.  All Might and I made a bet... I've gotta see if I can claim my prize or not.  It's related to my internship.  See ya."

Ryou ran off ahead, as fast as he could to school.  The last thing he wanted was to have an awkward walk to school with Sunny, about last night.

Sunny just...kissed me.  Dang...if Tsuyu found out, she'd be upset.  Or wait, I didn't even initiate it.  I tried to stop it, so it's not really my fault, I guess?

Yeah.  Let's just go with that.

Once Ryou got to school, he quickly dashed into All Might's office without being seen, and closed the door carefully on his way in.

"Young Ryou!  I was hoping to see you." All Might boomed.  Wow, he was looking as strong as ever.

"Thank you.  I have the document here.  I want to find out what he said."

"Ah, so you didn't look yet.  Very respectful of you.  Come, take a seat."

Ryou sat down, wiping the sweat off his head.  His thoughts were racing a million miles an hour in his head.  He kept thinking back to yesterday.  Tsuyu, Sunny, Mei, Sunny, Tsuyu, Sunny, Tsuyu, Mei...

"Okay, here we go." All Might had the paper in his hand, as he began to read it aloud.

"All Might,

Upon reading this evaluation, which I would hope Ryou didn't read already, because if so, I'll come back and hurt you, Ryou has completed his training alongside me.

It's clear that Ryou doesn't have much experience when it comes to fighting.  Despite his background as a Vigilante, he displayed poor defensive skills, almost always relying heavily on offense.  He did not realize the full potential of his...Quirk, as you call them.  He uses his Ridewatches however he choses, not particularly to the situation at hand.  Which could lead to fatal injury, or worse, death."

Ryou felt his heart sink, it felt like a bullet went right through him.  All that hard work...all that time training...all the waiting and suspense...all for nothing.

"Hang on, there's more." All Might paused to say.

"Forget it, All Might.  I've heard enough.  If Decade hated me, he just could have said so."

"I think you'll want to hear this part, though."

Ryou suspiciously raised an eyebrow and continued to pay attention.

"However, I was proved wrong.

Ryou failed lots of times during the beginning, but did not accept failure.  He always got back up to try again, each time better than the last.  He quickly adapted to my teachings, focusing more on his surroundings and being more tactful in combat.

Soon, after a few days, he changed plenty.  I saw a strong individual with loads of potential to be this world's Kamen Rider that the world needs.  Going so far as holding his own with the Hero Killer, Stain.

Upon writing this, Ryou and I are about to head to a lab to send myself home.  I don't need to think twice, because I know Ryou will succeed, and I'll be home by the time you read this letter.  I could not say any less that I would consider Ryou not just my...student, but, a friend as well.

Ryou has passed the internship with myself.  He showed excellent improvement, strong leadership, and the qualities a Kamen Rider needs.  In the future, he will be a great hero.  I know it.
