Ch.12 - Escape

Doctor Genus looked down at the once alive man on the floor in front of him.

"Well Doctor...it seems you don't have any mercy at all." Tomura said.

Doctor Genus immediately grabbed Tomura by the neck, and held him in the air.

"Do you realize that because one of YOUR men betrayed us, I lost not just my new project, but my perfect creation as well?!  Do you realize how much power you let slip away from me?!  If it wasn't for the League of Villains keeping me down, I'D SNAP YOUR NECK JUST LIKE I DID HIM!!"

Doctor Genus then looked over at the purple mist Villain, who glared at him.

"Hah...don't worry, Kurogiri.  I'm not going to kill him." He put Tomura down, and brushed his shoulders. "My apologies, I lost control for a moment there."

Kurogiri went by Tomura's side, not taking his eyes of Doctor Genus. "Doctor, we'll need that ferocity of yours.  But please save it for the boy and that girl and not my own comrades."

"NOT THE GIRL!" Doctor Genus yelled. "Not her.  She's a gem, she is.  Mr. Soutou isn't that special but I still want to use him.  There's a reason he was given that Hazard Ridewatch, after all."

Ryou started pacing in the dark office that he barricaded himself and Sunny, the girl he rescued, in.  He had nothing but the Black Hazard Ridewatch, and the these new Miridewatches.

"Um...excuse me."

Ryou turned to look at Sunny, who was sat calmly on a desk.

"Why are you so calm?  Your madman father is coming to get us, I don't have my Ridewatches, and we're locked in a room!  We're screwed, unless you have something useful to tell me!"

Sunny took one of the Miridewatches from Ryou, the green one, and cupped it in her right hand.

"I may be able to help you...I...um...think I can use these."

"You have a Kamen Ride Quirk?" Ryou took out the rest and laid them on the desk.

"Yes...before I was put under, my father mentioned about giving me an ability that would make me powerful.  This must be what he was talking about."

"Well if that's the case, I can use it to.  Watch."

Ryou took the purple Miridewatch, and stood a bit of a distance away from Sunny.  He raised the watch, and clicked it.

"Shinobi!"

"Henshin!" Ryou said clearly.

He clicked the watch again, but nothing happened. 

"Wait...what?  It usually works."

Ryou kept clicking the button on the Miridewatch, but it didn't work for some reason.

"Um, Ryou...that was your name, right?"

Ryou looked up at Sunny.

"I hate to disappoint you...but I think they only work with the Miride Ride Quirk."

Okay, now Ryou was lost. "The what now?"

Sunny stood up, and looked at the Miridewatch she had. "These are different watches then what you've used.  These watches are of Riders yet to be.  From the future.  Father told me."

"Seems like you know a lot...maybe too much."

Sunny brushed her hair. "I'm sorry...I don't....I just want to be helpful to you.  I know it looks bad, Ryou...but...it's just nice not to be the only one who has to deal with these newfound powers."
