Ch.18 - The Calvary Battle! Final Part

"I thought we would not have a confrontation until later in this contest." Todoroki said cooly.

Anger started to boil in Ryou.  This guy...was he just a full blown jerk, all the time?

"Don't stop moving!" Midoriya called out. "Ryou, be prepared to activate your high speed!"

"Iida, forward!" Todoroki commanded.

This didn't look good.  Not only was Todoroki smart, he was tactful as well.  Momo, Iida, and Kaminari were a dangerous trio alongside Todoroki.  They'd have to be smart.

Ryou noticed Kaminari starting spark with electricity suddenly.

"Crap, crap, crap." Ryou started to sweat, not sure what to do next.  He wasn't sure if he could take that blast with his Rider suit.

"Clock up!"

"Clock up."

"Ryou, what're you doing?" Midoriya yelled out.

"Something stupid!"

As time slowed down for Ryou, he forcefully ran backwards.  However, to the normal vison, Ryou was just propelling backwards at a high speed, moving farther away from Kaminari's charging blast.

As Kaminari launched his attack, electricity scattered throughout the field.  Todoroki had his group covered with some sort of insulation, which protected them.  However, Ryou managed to shove the group back enough of a distance on his own that they'd miss getting hit.  Ryou, however, wasn't so lucky, as the electricity surged through him.

"Clock over." The speed that Ryou gained immediately lost its effect when Ryou got hit by the blast.

"Graaahhhhh!!!" Ryou howled in pain, as he dropped to the ground, kneeling, trying to desperately keep his arms up.  The worst of it was, his Rider suit drew in the electricity.

Uraraka worringly looked over at Ryou, who was hunched over, knelt on the ground. "Ryou!  Please get up!"

As soon as the electricity faded, Todoroki froze the other groups that were trailing behind them.  While that at least took care of a lot of the other teams, there was still one left, probably the most dangerous one.

"Ryou, please get up!" Midoriya pleaded.

Ryou slowly got up, as the group desperately tried to move back, but within moments, they were backed into a corner.

"Oh no..." Ryou shook his head in disgust. 

Ryou noticed then that the his group and Todoroki's were caught in a circle.  Nowhere to run, they were trapped.

"What do we do?" Ryou said to himself.

Iida was preparing himself to burst forward all of a sudden, charging up his engines on the back of his legs.

"Ryou!" Midoriya called out.

Ryou was sweating, and was wobbling at the legs. "C....c...Clock-"

Before he could even get ready to think of what to do, Iida burst the group forward, and Todoroki snatched the headband from Midoriya as quick as lightning.

"What?!" Ryou gasped.

"I told you, didn't I, Midoriya, that'd I challenge you?" Iida called out, smiling confidently.

"Get back there!" Midoriya yelled desperately.

Ryou gasped. "I don't know if I can..."

"No!  I don't know how the other points are split up, so we can't go for others!  This is our only chance!"
