Felix blinked in surprise. Does she know who I am? He wondered. How else would she know my name? Ugh, whatever. I really need to make some progress now. He tried to shake thoughts of Y/n from his mind and concentrate properly. Meanwhile, Y/n found her hands shaking as she made him his coffee. She couldn't believe she had talked to Felix from Stray Kids and her heart was beating so fast so thought it would explode. Come on Y/n, don't freak out and ruin this. Be cool. She went back to his table and handed him his coffee.
"Fighting!" she said with a tentative smile, putting her clenched hands in the air to cheer him on. Felix grinned in response and gave her a thumbs up. For the next 20 minutes or so Felix worked hard on his lyrics and Y/n tried her best to just get on with her work as normal but she couldn't help wanting to check on him. Plucking up her courage, she walked over to him and tried to calm her frantic pulse.
"Hey, how's it going?" she asked, clasping her hands tightly to hide the slight trembling.
"Oh, umm yeah, pretty good actually," he replied flashing a smile, "thanks to you."
Y/n felt her face heat up and she giggled nervously, scratching the back of her neck. "Glad I could help," she mumbled, looking at the floor. Her cuteness melted his heart and before he knew what he was doing, he pulled out the chair next to him and said, "Why don't you sit for a while, I'd like to talk to you for a bit if that's alright?"
Her eyes widened in shock and she glanced around to see what her colleagues were doing. "Umm, okay, just for a little while I suppose." she answered shyly and sat down next to him.
"So," he began, "you're a STAY right? That's how you knew my name."
"Y-yes, that's right. I really love your music and think you're all incredibly talented people." Y/n stopped there, not wanting to go overboard and scare him but not wanting to seem uninterested either.
Felix, beaming, said "I love meeting fans. Thanks so much for your support, we couldn't do what we do without you. What's your name?" He already knew of course, having heard her manager call her earlier, but he didn't want her to know that.
"Y/n"
"Well Y/n, it's great to meet you. Where are you from?"
"England, I'm going to university here in Seoul but it's the holidays so I thought I'd make some extra cash." Y/n seemed to relax a bit and open up more.
"That's pretty cool, how did you learn Korean?" he encouraged her
"I started teaching myself about a year ago and just kinda threw myself into the culture by watching a ridiculous amount of kdramas and talking to native speakers as often as possible."
"Wow, that's impressive. It must have been hard for you, I know I struggled when I first came to Korea."
"Yeah I mean it certainly wasn't easy but I enjoy learning Korean. My respect for you doubled after realising how difficult it must have been for you." She looked at him with so much warmth and empathy it made Felix's heart skip a beat. He looked away shyly, murmuring,
"Yeah well, I had my members to help me."
"That's what I love about Stray Kids you all care for each other so much, it's so heartwarming to see I just ---" She got cut off my her manager calling her name. Y/n bit her lip and looked at Felix apologetically. "I have to go now," she said sorrowfully, "but it was great talking to you. I wish you all the best."
Felix nodded in understanding and smiled up at her "I enjoyed getting to know you a bit Y/n, see you around?"
