Sweet dreams

Y/n and Eunhee had talked for hours. There had been many tears which Y/n had only managed to halt with a combination of hugs, comforting words and one of her signature mochas (along with some cookies too of course). Eunhee had gone to take a shower and Y/n hoped she wasn't going to start crying again. Some breakups were really messy and Y/n was glad she'd never had to deal with that. Damn, she was exhausted from just witnessing one, she couldn't even begin to imagine how drained her roommate must feel.

Y/n snuggled into her duvet, feeling physically tired but her brain was too active for her to fall asleep yet. Seeking distraction, Y/n reached for her phone, which she hadn't checked since getting back from the theme park. There was a message from Felix which he had sent about an hour ago.

Felix: Did you get home safely kitten? Is your roommate okay?

Y/n smiled at his concern. He's so sweet, she thought as she typed her reply.

Y/n: I'm absolutely fine Felix 😊 my roommate is going through a difficult breakup so I've been trying to make her feel better.

Felix: Did you?

Y/n: I think so. I gave her lots of hugs, some cookies and made her a mocha.

Felix: Ooh I'm jealous!
Felix: Wait...Coffee before bed? Isn't that going to keep her up?

Y/n: Shit, I didn't think of that....
Y/n: I'm a terrible friend 😢

Felix: Hey, it's the thought that counts right? You made her feel better when she was miserable - that makes you a great friend.👍👏

Y/n felt the corners of her mouth turn upwards. How did he always know what to say? Eunhee came shuffling in and narrowed her eyes at Y/n.

"What are you looking at to make you smile like that?" She asked.

"Oh you know, just kpop idols again." Y/n brushed it off and Eunhee nodded, her suspicion fading. Y/n went back to her texting.

Y/n: You're really good at comforting people. I should come to you if I'm ever having a hard time.

Felix: Please do! I'll do whatever I have to to keep you happy and safe.

At that, Y/n felt a blush spread across her cheeks and she hid her face behind her hand. Eunhee gave her a weird look but shrugged and went back to plaiting her long hair for bed.

Y/n: Even if I were to tell you that the only way to cheer me up would be to dress up as a minion and sing the banana song?

Felix: I absolutely would.

Y/n: The sign of true friendship 😂

Felix: Yeah...
Felix: So I had a really amazing time today. Thanks again for coming 😊

Y/n: Thank you for inviting me!! I really enjoyed spending more time with you ❤

Realising how that could be interpreted, she quickly continued

Y/n: All of you that is, it was great to meet everyone.

Felix: Yeah, of course. They all love you btw. You're the main topic of conversation at our dorms.

Y/n: What can I say? I'm just too adorable 😉

Felix: Damn you and you're insane levels of cuteness!!

She chuckled to herself. He really knew how to make her laugh.

Y/n: You know, it's pretty late and I'm sure you have a busy schedule tomorrow. Shouldn't you be sleeping?

Felix: Probably.

Y/n: Then go to sleep, silly!

Felix: What if I want to talk to you for a bit longer?

Y/n: What if I want to get some sleep?

Felix: Do you?

Y/n: Yes. But I'm not sure I can.

Felix: Do you struggle to fall asleep too?

Y/n: All the time 🙄

Felix: I often find listening to music helps. Why don't we both listen to a song and try to get some rest?

Y/n: Good idea! Which song shall we listen to?

Felix: How about It's You by Henry?

Y/n: Ooh yeah - I love that song!

Felix:😊

Y/n: Are you listening to it now?

Felix: Yeah, you?

Y/n: Yep

She relaxed into her pillow as the soft melody swept over her, lulling her into a sleepy state. The thought that Felix was listening to the same song as her, at the same time, also trying to get to sleep made her insides feel all fuzzy.

Y/n: You were right - this is helping

Felix: I told you it would 😊

Y/n: Good night Felix 💕
