It was the day of her picnic date with Felix and Y/n had never been so ecstatic. She spun around her room pulling out potential outfits one after the other. Finally, she whittled the choices down to two. Since it was a picnic, she was apprehensive about wearing a skirt or dress as she would probably be sitting on the floor. It was also rather hot so Y/n decided that a cute playsuit would work best.

(I was imagining something like either of these but I'll let you choose what vibe you want to go for rather than forcing one on you)

Having put on her favourite playsuit, Y/ began doing her hair and makeup. Meanwhile, Eunhee sat on her bed, watching in puzzlement.

"What's happening today that's made you like this?"

A giddy smile spread across her face and Y/n looked out of the window dreamily. "I'm meeting up with someone special to me today."

Eunhee gasped in mock horror, "More special than me?"

Y/n giggled and shrugged.

"So who is this special person? Anybody I know?"

"I don't think so. We only met rather recently."

"And they've already turned you into a blushing mess? Damn, they must have some serious moves."

Y/n rolled her eyes and, finishing up her makeup, she whirled towards Eunhee and struck a pose.

"How do I look?"

"Absolutely stunning! Do you want me to find somewhere else to sleep tonight?" she added with a wink.

Y/n threw a pillow at her and scoffed, "I'm not you Eunhee."

Just then, her phone pinged. Both girls dived for it but Y/n was a little too slow.

"Ooooh, a text from Lix" Eunhee taunted.

"What does it say? Give it here!" Y/n was now on top of Eunhee and trying to wrestle the phone out of her grasp but to no avail.

"He says: Hey baby, shall we stay at mine or yours tonight? Winky face, fire emoji"

"What? No, he doesn't! Eunhee, stop messing around and give me my phone!"

She finally pulled it from her hands and saw the actual message from Felix:

I'm waiting just outside the building. Come down to the bench around the corner when you're ready x

Y/n smiled down at her phone and then shoved it in Eunhee's face.

"See, he's a gentleman."

Eunhee tutted, "You're so naive, all men want the same thing."

"And you're so pessimistic. Not all men are like that. I happen to know quite a few who would never treat a woman with anything but respect."

"Oh yeah, how many?" Eunhee challenged.

"At least 9! Now, if you'll excuse me," she rearranged her hair and straightened out her outfit, "I have a date."

With a flourish Y/n flounced out the room whilst Eunhee called after her "Go get him, girl!" which made her chuckle.

As she skipped down the stairs, Y/n caught sight of Felix sitting on the bench outside a window. She hurried over and opened it. Leaning out, she yelled his name and waved energetically. Felix looked up and was dazzled by her cuteness - to him she was practically radiant. Grinning, he waved back. Satisfied that he'd seen her, Y/n bounded down the rest of the stairs and outside. As she came barrelling towards him, Felix scooped her up in a big hug with her arms wrapped around his neck.

"Hello beautiful, you seem particularly sparkly today."

"Sparkly?" Y/n queried, looking up at him in confusion.

"You know, because your personality is so bright and you're eyes, well... sparkle."

"I don't think anyone's described my personality as 'sparkly' before, but I like it. Is that the food?" She pointed at a hamper on the bench next to where Felix had just been sitting.

"Ha, yeah," he reached up to rub the back of his neck, "too much?"

Y/n shook her head, "It's good to make an effort, I think the hamper is adorable."

Felix cocked his head to the side playfully, "Just the hamper?" he asked with wide, innocent eyes.

Y/n smirked, "I guess you're pretty adorable too."

He beamed in response and grabbed the hamper, ready to go. Then he glanced down at her hand, hesitant. As they walked, his hand inched closer to hers until their knuckles brushed. Felix urged to take her hand into his but he didn't want to scare her.

"Can I -" he bit his lip and took a breath, "I mean, can we hold hands?"

Y/n smiled. She had been wondering whether to ask the same thing. Interlacing her fingers with his, she swung their now clasped hands back and forth, peering up at him. "Like this?"
