Crushing Over Coffee (Stray Kids Felix x reader)

Happy you came

"Scared kitten?" Felix had asked. Y/n thought for a moment about whether to pretend she was too tough for this but decided to answer honestly.

Fidgeting with her jacket sleeves, she replied, "I've never been inside a haunted house before so I don't know what to expect. I guess I am a little scared."

Felix sighed, "Me too." Y/n turned to him curiously, somewhat surprised he didn't tease her for being afraid. Looking back at the group she announced that he didn't need to worry because she had a plan.

After she approached the others, she informed them that, since Woojin and Seungmin were the ones who wanted to go in and the others weren't as keen, they should stick close in a line so that no one got abandoned. "I think Woojin should go at the front and Seungmin at the back as they're the most confident," Y/n continued, "and since Hyunjin is the tallest, I bagsy being behind him so I can hide easily." Hyunjin beamed and the other members agreed that it was a good idea. They formed a line (Woojin, Chan, Minho, Hyunjin, Y/n, Felix, Jisung, Changbin, Jeongin and Seungmin) and went to enter the house.

There was a fake dead body hanging in the entrance and the typical "Keep out" sign painted in fake blood. As they went through various rooms, people dressed as gruesome ghosts wandered around and Y/n clung to the back of Hyunjin's shirt with one hand, not wanting to lose the others. She also felt Felix slip his hand in the other making her heart race even more. It is just because he doesn't want the group to get split up she told herself and they continued round the corner.

Suddenly, one of the ghost actors with particularly ghastly make-up on jumped out and began chasing them, yelling loudly. Pandemonium ensued as everyone ran off screaming, desperately trying to escape - even Woojin and Seungmin, who had acted so blasé earlier. Y/n ran through room after room, avoiding the grasping hands of the other 'ghosts' and searching for the exit. Finally, she saw it, but she also spotted Jeongin whimpering in a corner, having been caught be the lunatic one from before. Y/n ran towards him, grabbed Jeongin's arm and pulled him away. 

They exited the house hand-in-hand and panting. Felix rushed towards them, looking rather anxious. "Are you alright?" he asked earnestly, "I lost you in the chaos, I was so worried." Chan followed, looking equally concerned. "Yeah, Felix and I were just about to go back into to try to find you."

Y/n chuckled, "Aww you guys are so sweet but you make it sound like we were in actual danger. Sure it was kinda terrifying, but at the end of the day, they're just acting."

"... We thought you might have been too afraid," Minho said quietly, glancing at her with big eyes. He looked so soft Y/n felt her heart melt a little under his gentle gaze.

"Yeah," Seungmin continued, "I'm so sorry I forced you to go in."

"Don't say that, no one forced us to go in - it's alright Seungmin." Y/n said, giving him a comforting smile.

"Besides," Jeongin started enthusiastically and looking at her with admiration, "Y/n was really brave and rescued me from the super-scary ghost dude."

"Wow. Seems our baby girl saved our precious maknae." replied Chan, "I say we treat her to some ice cream to thank her and apologise for this rather traumatic experience."

Everyone cheered in agreement and they headed for the ice cream stand nearby. They all chose their flavours and Chan pulled out his wallet to pay. Y/n grasped his wrist to stop him, "You don't need to do that, I can pay for my own." "Don't be silly," Chan shook her hand off and flashed her a glowing smile, "It's my treat." Y/n hesitated before nodding and stepping back to join the others. 

Finding a place to sit, they all began relishing their ice creams, Jisung and Y/n maybe a little too much as they both ended up with blobs of it on their noses. They looked up and saw each other at the same time, giggling and pointing. Jisung found it so hilarious that he fell off the back of his chair, which made everyone laugh even harder. Woojin rolled his eyes and offered Y/n a napkin, whilst Changbin ended up joining Jisung on the floor after an especially explosive outburst of laughter. 

Just then, Y/n got a phone call from her roommate, Eunhee. "Sorry guys, I'd better get this." Y/n picked up her phone and wandered away from the table. Felix watched as she paced backwards and forwards, occasionally nodding, which he found adorable since obviously whoever she was talking to couldn't see her. When she had hung up, Y/n returned, looking a little disheartened. 

"Hey, I have to go now, my roommate is having a bit of a crisis and I need to help her figure some stuff out. Thank you so much for today though, it was lovely meeting you all and I had the best time."

She was greeted with a series of goodbye hugs and affectionate 'great to meet you's and 'lets do this again's. As she was walking away, she turned and waved, saying: "Really, thank you so much." to which Chan replied, "Glad you had a good time." Felix nodded, "It was so much fun, I'm really happy you came."
