Crushing Over Coffee (Stray Kids Felix x reader)

Heartbeat

And so they walked hand in hand to the park. Y/n was cheerily nattering about random things; how lovely the weather was, how long it had been since she had last gone on a picnic, how this was her favourite playsuit because it was a gift from her roommate Eunhee. Felix enjoyed listening to her mindless chatter and the fact that she was so open with him. He enjoyed being so close to her, the feeling of her fingers entwined with his, the way her hair bounced as she walked. Felix came to the realisation that he just enjoyed being with her. He managed to find pleasure in every little thing she did and was suddenly astounded by how hard and how fast he had fallen. After all, he had fallen for her - completely and utterly head over heels.

The smitten boy had been so absorbed in thoughts of Y/n, he hadn't been paying attention to where they were going. Coming to an abrupt stop, he looked around at their surroundings. They had arrived at a small glade which was encircled by trees, secluded from the rest of the park. Well at least they wouldn't be disturbed here, he thought. A small gasp escaped Y/n's lips as she beheld the location.

"Oh, this is perfect Felix! I love it!"

Yes. At this moment, everything truly did seem pretty perfect. Felix smiled fondly at the girl who had captured his attention from the very first moment she had stumbled into his life and he began unfolding the picnic blanket for her. When they had both sat down, he started taking an assortment of snacks from the hamper including both typical Korean and western types of food, such as dumplings and rice balls as well as sandwiches and sausage rolls. Y/n was so happy she was virtually glowing. 

"I can't believe you've done all of this," she said in hushed tones, "you really are amazing Lix."

Felix grinned gleefully at her praise and gestured for her to tuck in. Y/n made sure to try at least one of everything Felix had brought and continued to make noises of admiration about all of his effort, which he brushed off bashfully and often gave her a compliment in return. Soon it was time for dessert and he pulled out some strawberries and still-melted chocolate (I'm sorry if you're lactose intolerant, maybe it's dairy free chocolate?). Delighted, Y/n clapped her hands.

"Oooh yay! I love strawberries and I looooove chocolate."

Felix laughed, "Yeah me too. I'm glad you're so excited." He picked up the biggest and dipped it generously in the chocolate. "Here," he held it out for her to take.

NOM. Y/n leant forward and ate the strawberry whole out of his hand.

"Bloody hell Y/n, it was massive!"

She looked up at him, wide-eyed and cheeks puffed out and she tried to chew the humungous strawberry. 

"You fed it to me!" she managed to get out around her mouthful, her eyes still huge.

"I didn't expect you to eat it in one bite!"

Y/n glanced down sadly, pouting, with her cheeks still full. "It just looked so yummy" she mumbled. Can she be any cuter? Felix wondered as he ruffled her hair and told her to just concentrate on trying to chew it properly. After the initial difficulty, the pair made their way through the remaining strawberries pretty quickly. Y/n flopped back onto the blanket with one hand behind her head and the other on her stomach.

"I'm stuffed," she groaned, "it was so delicious I couldn't stop."

Felix chuckled and lay down next to her. Both lay on their backs so that they were staring up at the sky. Y/n pointed up at a cloud passing by.

"Haha, look at that cloud! It kinda looks like a dragon."

"Oh yeah! And that one looks like a rabbit riding a unicycle!"

Y/n howled with laughter, "A rabbit riding a unicycle? Brilliant!"

Felix turned his head to face her with a crooked grin on his face. Y/n rolled onto her side and surveyed his face with a soft smile hovering over her lips. She reached out and began gently tracing his freckles across his cheeks and nose. Felix's eyelids fluttered shut and his skin tingled beneath her touch.

"I love your freckles. I wish they weren't covered up by makeup so often."

As she drew her hand away Felix's eyes shot open and he grabbed her hand. Slowly he moved it to his chest, just over his thundering heart.

"Do you feel that?" his husky voice reverberated through her and his eyes seemed to bore into her soul, "This is the effect you have on me."

Smiling shyly, Y/n took his other hand and placed it over her own wildly beating heart.

"And you on me."

Felix leant forward and lightly brushed his lips on hers before pulling away. Both of their faces were an intense shade of crimson and he quickly sat up, turning away from her to hide the sudden heat in his cheeks. Then Y/n also pushed herself up and hugged him from behind, 

"Such a tease," she murmured before pressing a kiss onto his cheek, "making my heartbeat go crazy like that."
