Crushing Over Coffee (Stray Kids Felix x reader)

From then on, Felix and Y/n texted each other daily, getting to know each other better with every message they shared. Last night, they had spent hours on the phone talking about their day. Y/n would tell Felix about the events at the café and how her roommate was getting on, whilst he would talk about his schedule and the silly things the other members did (it was usually about Changbin). She loved how he seemed interested in every little thing that happened to her and insisted that nothing she said could be boring to him. Even over the phone, his deep laugh shook her to the core and made her knees feel weak. 

Y/n's co-worker, Soojin, called over to her as she walked past, snapping Y/n out of her thoughts. She had come to take over her shift and Y/n was eager to chat to Felix some more. Just then, he walked in with Jeongin and Changbin. Y/n felt a smile tug on her lips and she greeted them with a wide grin.

"Felix!" she exclaimed, "you brought the two babies with you today I see."

Jeongin pouted at being called a baby, whilst Changbin did some aegyo and Felix chuckled, "They really wanted to see you."

"What about you?" Y/n asked teasingly, taking a step closer and tilting her head, "Did you want to come and see me too?"

Felix averted his eyes and scratched the back of his neck. He murmured with a nervous smile, "Yeah, I guess I kinda missed you."

Y/n beamed and flung her arms around his neck, taking comfort in his now familiar scent. "Good," she breathed, "Because I missed you too."

Felix smiled softly and hugged her back. Then she pulled away and grasped Jeongin in a hug as well, ruffling his hair and making him giggle. She turned to Changbin but he stumbled back a bit, putting a hand up. 

"I-I really don't think a hug is necessary."

Y/n peered at him in concern, "Are you alright Changbin? You look like you're burning up. Are you coming down with a fever?" She reached towards his forehead to check his temperature but he dodged her outstretched hand, insisting he was fine and just a little hot. Y/n didn't look convinced but told the group that she'd just finished her shift so had to go take off her apron/grab her stuff when Jeongin made a suggestion:

"Why don't you sit down for a coffee with us? I'm sure we'd all love to chat for a bit." The others nodded in agreement and Y/n gladly accepted the offer.

She came back to find the boys in Felix's favourite corner spot (of course) and four steaming cups of coffee. As Y/n sat down in front of what she supposed was her drink, she looked at each of them questioningly. 

"We weren't sure what you'd like." said Felix with a sheepish smile

"So we just got you a regular coffee." Jeongin continued, his eyes darting from the cup back to Y/n as if checking for her reaction.

"It was Felix's idea so if you don't like it blame him." Changbin added giving Felix a nudge and cheeky grin which Felix responded to with a glare. Y/n shook her head in amusement and took the cup into her hands, thanking them for their trouble. They waited in anticipation as Y/n took a sip and when she smiled as she put the cup back down, they let out a sigh of relief. Soon they were all actively involved in light-hearted chatter. Changbin was currently explaining Seungmin's latest little prank which left them all in hysterics. Although nothing could ever beat the time Jisung was fed ice cream in his sleep.  

"You guys are so fun to hang out with," Y/n commented wistfully, "I wish I could see you all more often."

Excitement and delight spread through the bodies of the three members, happy that Y/n enjoyed their company so much. Changbin's phone buzzed and he looked down at it. He sighed in disappointment as he read the message. "We'd better head back soon, Chan is wondering where we are."

The smiles quickly fell off Felix and Y/n's faces but Jeongin's continued to grow as an idea formed in his head. "Hey," he started, "Why don't you come too Y/n? I know the others would love to see you too and we can show you where we practise and stuff! It would be so much fun! Oh please come!"

Y/n was shocked by his sudden outburst and tried to gather her thoughts, "Err - I don't know, can  I?" she asked, looking to his hyungs for confirmation. Changbin nodded and replied, "I don't see why not." 

Now permission had been granted, Felix could feel his happiness bubbling up inside. "Yeah come on Y/n," he encouraged, "Come with us."
