When he walked through the door on that unsuspectingly warm day, she somehow knew, everything in her life was going to change.
A burst of light crashes it's way right into every crevice of my bedroom as the door swings open with a smacking sound against the wall, waking me from my sleep. "Norah! Wake up or we're going to be late" my mother shouts at me from my bedroom door. Today is the day I finally move to New York and start my freshman year at NYU. I have been dreaming of going there ever since I was a kid because it's drastically different from the small suffocating English town I've grown up in. Living here isn't so bad, but getting that acceptance letter was the best moment of my life. Finally, I'm getting away from the black hole that exists in this town. It's just a place that holds a house which is full of memories that I'd want to forget, and a room to rest my head at night. I can get away from the constant fighting and disappointment.
