Downfall: Black Diamond Edition

(Omega)"So basically there's this old movie called Downfall. It's about the end of World War 2, and there's this one famous scene where Hitler flips out on his followers. Here's what that looked like."

(Omega)"Now, here's my version!"

(On the Moon Base)

Me, Pearl, SE-2006, the Inner Circle, and a number of high-ranking Gems were on the top floor, as Hessonite pointed at several locations on a holograph of Earth.

(Hessonite)"The rebels have broken through along a wide front. They've taken Zossen to the south and are advancing to Stahnsdorf. They're on the northern outskirts between Frohnau and Pankow, they've reached Lichtenberg, Mahlsdorf and Karlshorst to the east."

She was speaking of a Human settlement known as "Germany". It's a location that we took over, and used the inhabitants as slaves to make more weapons. Unfortunately, the Crystal Gems have liberated most of it.

(Black)"No matter, Emerald's forces will have the situation under control."

The Gems looked at each other with anxiety. They clearly had something they didn't want to tell me, but what? I told Emerald to-

(Hessonite)"My Diamond...E-Emerald..."

(Jasper)"...Emerald thought it was better to attack the rebel's base. Unfortunately, she was shot down and killed by a Light Cannon."

I couldn't believe what I just heard. Emerald...a member of the Inner Circle...disobeyed a direct order. Without using my hands, my hair moved to the back by itself, and with each click, my "scary face" slowly morphed.

(Black)"These people will stay in this room. Hessonite, Jasper, Pearl, and SE..."

The other Gems went downstairs one by one, and the ones remaining looked even more anxious. I gave them a cold look, turned left and right, and that metaphorical bolt in my head keeping my anger under control finally broke loose.

(Black)"THAT WAS AN ORDER! EMERALD'S ATTACK WAS A DIRECT ORDER!!"

(Black)"Who did she think she was to dare disobey an order I give?! So this is what it has come to...the military has been lying to me!"

I stood up and altered my height so that I now towered over everyone else in the room. Most Gems were intimidated by someone taller, which is why they fear the Diamonds most.

(Black)"Everybody has been lying to me, even the Inner Circle! Our soldiers are just a bunch of contemptible, disloyal, unreliable COWARDS!"

(Hessonite)"My Diamond, I can't permit you to insult the soldiers!"

(Black)"THEY ARE COWARDS, TRAITORS AND FAILURES!"

I stomped the floor so hard I put a hole straight through it.

(Black)"Not a shred of honor!"

(Black)"They call themselves soldiers, yet years at military academy just to learn how to hold THEIR SUMMONED WEAPON!"

I shrank down to normal size and sat back down.

(Black)"For years, the military has hindered my plans! They've put every kind of obstacle in my way! And what I should have done...was to contain disobedient high-ranking officers, just like Rose!

(Black)"If I desired to, I could've conquered all of my colonies by myself! This is unacceptable! The traitors will pay in their shards, THEY'LL BE BURIED IN SHARDS!!!"

I finally calmed down, and returned my face to normal.

(Black)"We cannot go on like this. We'll lose the war if we do...there's only one thing left, find Rose Quartz, and kill her."

(Black)"I will go with SE tomorrow, and if I do not return...do whatever you want..."

I got up, and left for the Eclipse Dreadnought, along with SE and Pearl.
