I burst through the darkness, now in...some other place that was not dark. Behind me was a large thing with a pointy bit on the bottom. What is that thing?

I looked up to the source of the strange sound, and was taken aback by what it was. It was very tall, and looked a bit scary. It also had a strange, shiny thing on its chest.

There was another strange sound. This one was not as big, but still big. I felt more at ease by the other's appearance. It had a different shaped shiny thing on its chest.

The third and final thing was the largest of all. It was very, very bright. The two long things keeping it up didn't end like the scary one. The very end had shiny dark things, as well as the smaller ones on the long things on the sides. A larger shiny thing was above its...sound maker.
