Andrew just received horrible news that he didn't think he would ever hear. He just came back from his CT scans and they found that he has a massive aortic aneurysm that is about to burst. He needs surgery, and fast. A few hours have passed and Maggie is operating on Andrew. Meredith is scared out of her mind that she asks Owen to bring her a wheelchair and wheel her to the church that's in the hospital so she can light a candle for him. There were some complications with Andrew's surgery. His aneurysm burst and his pressure bottomed out. He coded three times on the table, then something started to happen to Meredith. She threw a pulmonary embolus.
Teddy comes and removes the embolus, but her BP was still super low, so they had to shock her. "Meredith, this is going to hurt and I'm so sorry, but it will help you, okay?" Teddy said. Meredith knew what she could and couldn't handle so she requested that they charge to 300. "Are you sure Mer?" Alex asked. "I know what I can handle, now hold my hand because I'm going to need someone to hold my hand before and after Altman shocks me." Alex walked over to Meredith, kissed her hand, then let go so Teddy could shock her. "Clear!" Meredith yells in pain. "Stats are increasing." Meredith jokingly said, "That hurt more than being in labor with my kids." Alex laughed. He bent down to hold her hand and lay his head in her lap. "Thanks for not dying, or whatever." "Can you go get an update on Andrew for me please." Meredith asked. "Sure." Alex walked into Maggie's OR and heard her say, "Ugh. Time of death 15:22."
