"Rub! Wake up, it's your turn to make breakfast!" I heard my brother, Axel, shout. I look at the clock and realise I have 20 minutes before I have to leave for school. "Can you do it this morning? I'm running late." I asked, "Fine, but it's your turn tomorrow" he sighs, "thanks Axy" I say sweetly. Axels my twin, he's 34 minutes older, he never lets me forget that.
I got myself up and went for a shower, I didn't bother washing my hair as I put it in braids last night, so it should be kind of wavy.
I walk to my dressing table and start doing my make up, just a little eyeliner, some mascara, and some apple lipgloss.
"Can you drive me to school?" I ask one of my other brothers, Bear, "Sure, just give me a minute to get ready and I'll take you, here take my keys and start the car I'll be down in a minute" he says tossing the keys at me.
Bear drove me and Axel to school, Axel got out of the car.
"Hey, uh, ruby, wait a second." Bear said nervously, "Everything okay?" I asked as I took my seatbelt off and turned to him, "I know this is hard for you, Jess being gone. I just want you to know I'm always here for you, we all miss her." He said softly, Jess was our older sister, she was the oldest out of all of us being 29, me and Jess always got along the most out of all of us, it made it easier having another girl around the house, I never knew my mom, she died when Axel and I were little, Jess was in the army, she got shot I'm the chest a few weeks ago and passed away from her wounds 4 days later, I just hate that I never got to say goodbye, I hadn't seen her for 4 months before it happened.
"Thanks bear, same for you, I love you" I said putting on a fake smile before getting out of the car.
This is my first day at my new school, I don't know anyone, (other than Axel obviously).

My first class was Drama, when there was about 10 minutes left of class we all got assigned partners for a game sort of thing. "Amy Smith you're paired with Landon Edwards, and last but not least, new girl, Ruby Holt, you're paired with Isaac Lawson." Mr. Addams shouted out, So, the guy with the tattoo in the hallway, his name is Isaac.

"Now, class. Now that you're all in pairs, I'll explain the game, it's just so you all get to know each other a bit better. The game is pretty simple, I'm going to give you all 2 days to find out as much as you can about each other, and now I don't mean find out your parents whole family history, I just mean like, their favourite movie, favourite colour, things like that, and on Wednesday when I see you all again I'm going to give you all a list of questions about your partner to see how well you guys got to know each other." The teacher explained to us all, "great, another way for the school to pry into our lives as much as possible." Isaac growled, "yeah, I was gonna say..."
