It was another day and Sibella had spent it baking cakes for a corporate event that was coming up.
Bulma naturally paid her well and she continued to live a happy life in peace with the Briefs family.
But the one person she barely saw, was Vegeta.
He was rarely around, in fact he barely spent time training, it was like he vanished from the face of the Earth most of the time.

Knowing this was very little of her business she kept her nose out of it.
Over the years, Sibella had also become a very big help to Bulma in helping her bring up Trunks, a very strange experience- but she couldn't be happier to be considered a member of the family, and when Vegeta wasn't around, Sibella spent her time training the young boy; the two actually became very good friends as a result.

Sibella had continued to improve her powers and skills as she ventured out to spar with #17.
The pair had become quite close, but never really went beyond that of a close friendship...to begin with.
Aside from sparing for the first couple years, the two began to share more of themselves with each other, having meals, going for walks, talking and joking together...like a couple, it was never discussed, but for these two warriors, it was quite perfect for now; despite not really being official.

7 years since the event of the Cell games, and Bulma began to notice more and more that Sibella was skittering off from the CC grounds, by all means she had the right to do so, but with Bulma essentially being her best friend...she couldn't help but be curious.

So one day...she decided to confront her, asking what she had been up to in her free time.

"No idea what you're talking about" Sibella said, completely calm and straight faced.
"Oh really, Sibella, I may run a business, but I also notice what goes on around me, where have you been running off to, I barely see you days at a time" Bulma pleaded.
"Nowhere, honest" Sibella responded shifting her eyes.
"Really, you don't even wanna tell me about it?" Bulma pried.

Sibella began to ponder, surely there was a reason she didn't want people to know, for one thing it wasn't their business what she was doing, it wasn't illegal and she kept up with all her work and was always there when Bulma needed support.

"I don't think so- "
"You're seeing someone aren't you?" Bulma interrupted.

Sibella stopped breathing for a moment and stared Bulma in the eye.

"I...I-"she stuttered and began blushing.
"I knew it!" Bulma screamed and held Sibella's hands.
"H...how could you know that?" Sibella nervously asked.

Bulma smiled and embraced her friend.

"Because I know that look in your eyes, all women have it when they are in love, not just that, but you've been happier around the house, you're smiling and sighing all the time, the cakes for another thing have become phenomenal, and Trunks said he's noticed a change in you too" Bulma listed, quite concisely.

Sibella was shocked and surprised that people had noticed this, it was rather confusing how they could have known such a thing in the first place, but apparently it was obvious.

"So...who is he?" Bulma asked.
"I appreciate that you noticed a positive change in me, however who this person is...is of no concern to anyone" Sibella said and made a run for the gardens and took to the sky.

Bulma followed and as she looked at Sibella while she flew away she smiled and giggled, her friend was happy, so shy and full of joy like a little school girl, it was sweet.

Sibella- without thinking flew straight to the island where she had met #17- which had now become an animal preservation park, and he had taken position as a ranger to protect the animals.
A job which he took great pride and joy in and looked forward to it every day.
Sibella watched this transformation of his attitude, it was unlike anything she had ever seen, he was so kind to the animals and did everything and anything possible to protect them from harm- somewhat hard to believe considering what they were made for. But the Android had made a change in his life for the better...and the only other person who knew about this...was his sister #18.

For a number of years she had been visiting, and she did tend to bump into Sibella from time to time, but never really suspected much, as she herself had also changed, she was more loving towards her brother...but also had been keeping a secret.
Sibella and #17 were unlike normal people so they never expressed their feelings to anyone, for them, their actions spoke louder than words, and that was plenty.

Having arrived at the island she went to the little house where #17 was living, she knocked on the door and walked in, upon doing so she saw he wasn't in the main room or kitchen.

"#17, are you home?" she asked looking around.

Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened and out came #17 in a towel, his hair dripping wet and water still streaming down his perfect chest and abs.

"Oh...there you are" she blushed.
"Sorry I didn't hear you come in, I'm getting ready to start my day" he responded with a smile.
"I'll go prepare some food" Sibella whispered and turned made her way to the kitchen to make pancakes.

As she was finishing up, #17 came in dressed for work with his cute little ranger armband on his left arm.

"This looks great, how come you're here early?" he asked her as he began eating.
"I have no idea, I was flying and I just came straight here" she responded and sat opposite him eating.
"Something bothering you?" he asked her.
"No, nothing of great concern...yet, I feel something is still vexing me..." she trailed off her eyes were stern yet confused as she went into deep thought.

#17 was taken back by her demeanour, this wasn't normal behaviour...so he decided to prod at her more.

"Well it wont get fixed the more you dwell on it" he said, sipping a cup of coffee.

Sibella sighed and pushed her hair back, then began twirling her fingers through it.

"I've...I've known you for years, and I would say we have become quite close- would you not agree?" she asked him, looking down but glancing up every few seconds.

#17 simply nodded, becoming confused by her line of questioning.

"So, I suppose, my concern would be...what are we to each other, at this point of life...?" she asked, sheepishly.

#17 paused for a moment to think, must like Sibella, he never thought about it...till now.
Instead of responding, he stood up from his chair and leaned over the table to her.

"I suppose we can call it what we want...but Sibella. I think of you more than a friend" he whispered.

Sibella looked at him, her pupils dilated, and her breathing became unsteady.

"You do...?" she responded.

'17 then leaned over further and gently brushed his lips over hers.

"I do" he smiled on her lips.

Sibella lightly giggled and rested her head against his, smiling and blushing all the while.

"Then I hope its of no consequence to admit that I feel the same about you" she stuttered to respond.
