Chapter 37- Two Time Machines and an egg?!

Still on their way to Kame house, things were a little tense as the future did appear a bit cloudy.
Krillin explained on the journey everything that had happened, how they had lost to the Androids and how they were oddly different to what Trunks had initially described. It certainly confused Yamcha and Gohan- who had been forced to do homework until they arrived.

"What do we do now?" Yamcha asked.
"I could travel to the past in my time machine and destroy the androids before he as a chance to activate them"
"Don't be stupid, you wouldn't be able to take on the Androids" Sibella expressed.
"Oh yeah, why not?" Trunks demanded.
"You were of little help earlier love, I doubt you'd be much good, besides I'm sure you said your Time Machine was low on fuel. You wouldn't be able to make a return trip as a result" Sibella summarised.
"I know" Trunks responded.
"Hey if you go back to the past and destroy the androids, would that mean the androids in this time would disappear- mean I doubt it because if changing the past makes them vanish then what happens-" Gohan was cut off by Chi-chi telling him it was none of his concern and to keep studying.

Trunks had a moment of realisation, recognising that if he did go back, he will only be able to change the future of that world, so nothing would change here.
Further clarifying that Trunks was able to only change 1 reality not both, one where Goku survived for example and one where he didn't. Ans that if the Androids died here, the Androids in his time would not die either.
Of which a question came to mind, why bother coming back?
Trunks explained that Bulma had said that in going back to the past they can make their future better for others, so they made a point to send him to the past to help them.

"Everything is going wrong" Trunks panicked.
"Try not to worry about that too much, if you hadn't had come here, Goku wouldn't be alive right now, and that's all that really matters" Chi-chi added and smiled at Trunks and returned her attention to Goku, who was still resting.
"We all owe you!" Krillin said.
"Enough of this, regardless of it all, we have to focus on the now, timelines appear unstable as it is, and you've taken a risk in coming here, not that I'm not grateful- still we just need to work through this situation and get on with it" Sibella instructed.

Sibella then sat in the front seat and called Bulma, hoping to explain everything to her.
She updated her and she even asked if Trunks was there, so she put her on the loud speaker.

"We got a call today from some guys who lives in the country, he said he found some weird, old abandoned vehicle and wanted to keep it. But he doesn't know how to fly the thing and wanted us to help fix it, but we don't know anything about it. So we asked him for a picture, and it was a picture of the time machine trunks came in- and it was a wreak"
"But that can't be true- I have it here with me!"
"But the picture is the same but covered in moss and stuff. I'll send you a copy of the picture" Bulma added.

Then through the printed is came and Sibella looked at it and Trunks peered over her shoulder.
"Well, what's this about then?" she asked an handed it to him.
"It looks like mine, but...but I don't understand it" Trunks stuttered.
"So, there's two, despite you having one in your case there, how odd" Sibella summarised.
"Where is this?" Sibella asked Bulma.
"It's somewhere in the west 1050 area- I'll meet you there" Bulma responded.
"Are you positive your time machine is one of a kind?" Yamcha asked.
"Yes, I am" Trunks responded.

Gohan asked to leave also, but Chic-chi said he had to remain back, of which Sibella agreed if he came, she would watch over him, eventually she agreed.
So Yamcha opened the door and Trunks, Sibella and Gohan flew out together to the location Bulma had mentioned.

"Trunks, remember when you were talking about your world in the further did the androids really destroy everything?" Gohan asked.
"Yes, they annihilated the majority of our population" Trunks responded.
"Don't be so nervous, we'll be able to stop them" Sibella reassured them.
"How can you be so confident Sibella?" Gohan asked.
"How can I not be, we're Saiyans after all, we live for moments like this, now where is this place?" she smiled and winked at Trunks.
"We're coming over now" Trunks answered, they descended lower and began looking around for the time machine duplicate.

"Trunks I found it!" Gohan called.

They all then rushed over to it, and in view a ship drove by.

"Hey I bet you that's Bulma, I'll tell her were we are" Gohan said and took to the sky.

Sibella and Trunks were alone and she was observing the ship, circling around it.

"So Sibella?" he started.
"What is it?"
"Um...you and my mom are close huh?" he asked her.
"I suppose so, she helped give me a new life. I owe her a great deal. Oh, and despite what you may think or anything I'm sure your mother in the further exaggerated on- Vegeta and I are not an item. Just because we get along in some respect, doesn't mean I have feelings for him" she clarified.

In all honesty that was his next question.
In the future Bulma always feared that Sibella may have been a potential rival for his affections, but never combatted the issue. She loved him, but never did he say he loved her back. Hence why she never pressed the issue.

"Oh I see...well thanks for clearing that up" he chuckled.
"How if your mother anyway, I hope she's alright in the future" Sibella asked, concerned.
"She's fine, I hope"
"I don't doubt it, to be honest I can see why she and your father ever got together- human or not, your mother is a strong woman, I think that's why I admire her so much. If Vegeta would let his guard down a bit, I imagine they would have a wonderful life together" Sibella added.

Trunks couldn't help but gaze at Sibella.
Until now all he had ever heard from his mother were stories, and all he had seen were pictures from the past.
She was exactly as Bulma had described, a beautiful, powerful and caring Saiyan girl, sometimes she would wear her heart on her sleeve, but she never stopped fighting for what was right.
In fact, it was even possible, that the young Saiyan was falling for her.

"Sibella I-"Trunks started, but was cut off as she looked up to see Bulma and Gohan flying back.

Once they landed, Trunks popped his time machine out to compare to the old one.

"As you can see this is the time capsule, I travelled back in"
"So this isn't yours after all?" Bulma asked.
"They are one and the same" Trunks added.
He then began rubbing off some moss from the old ship to reveal the word hope underneath; supposing written by his mother before he had left the future.

Sibella then flew up and began observing the top of the ship.
The glass dome that covered it had a large hole melted into it, as thought it was from the inside.
Trunks popped the lid open and began looking inside he then pulled out what appeared to be an empty shell; it was purple and lumpy with yellow rims.

"It sure is strange, what comes out of a shell like this?" Gohan asked.
"No idea" Sibella responded
"Maybe whatever hatched out of that egg made that hole in the Capsule canopy" Gohan suggested.
"Highly possible" Sibella added.

Trunks sat in the seat and began to fiddle around with the monitor.

"It looks like there's not much energy left in here. I better work fast-The capsule landed here 3 years ago- no wait 4 years ago- by the time I battled Frieza 3 years ago whoever came here in this time machine had already been here for a year. Maybe it's the one that changed history- there can't be any other explanation" Trunks summarised.
"It's possible, but I must say I wonder what would have had the ability to get hold of this and bring it here..." Sibella trailed off.

Trunks then decided to pop both the time machines' away and take it with them for safe keeping, Bulma decided to take the shells with her.
Gohan then suggested that they go to Master Roshi's to help protect Goku while he was recovering.
Bulma asked where Vegeta was, of which Sibella said he went off to train after having his butt handed to him.

"Huh...I think I see something?" Gohan said and began to walk away, everyone followed, and they screamed to see what appeared to be a large skeleton shell.
"Looks like whatever it was crawled off after it shed its skin"
"This may be whatever hatched out of the capsule"
"Possible" Sibella said and reached her hand into it.
"But how did it get here, did someone send it in the capsule, or did someone come with it here?" Trunks asked.

"Oh god!" Sibella gasped.

Everyone reacted in fear and screamed in panic.

"What?!" Gohan yelled.
"It's still wet, whatever came out of here is still around" Sibella said and cleaned her hand on the grass, all while Trunks and Gohan were looking around in hopes of seeing something.
"I should go, if anything happens call me, or I'll call you" Bulma said and swiftly took off.
"We need to get going" Sibella said and took to the sky heading for Master Roshi's house.
